Herby Cocktail card – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Stamping with Friends Blog Hop – 1

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on recently. I have chosen to share a card made using the Cheers & Sips stamp set and Dies.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the herby cocktail card, you will need:

Gray Granite card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Gray Granite card – 5¾” by 3¾”
Strawberry Slush card – 5¼” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5” by 2½”
Basic White card- 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Scrap Basic White, Basic Black and Fluid 100 card

I embossed the panel of Gray Granite card using the Corrugated Embossing Folder and set it to one side.

Using the Nested Essentials Dies I die cut two labels, the larger from the Strawberry Slush card and the smaller from the 5” by 2½” piece of Basic White card.  Glued the Strawberry Slush label to the embossed Gray Granite layer and wrapped a length of White Baker’s Twine around the whole piece and glued the panel to the Gray Granite card front.

Using the ‘ground’ image from the Scenic Adventure stamp set, I stamped in Gray Granite ink along the bottom of the Basic White label. This was then glued to the Strawberry Slush label.

I die cut a glass from scrap Fluid 100 card using the Cheers & Sips Dies. Using a Water Painter I added water to the die cut piece then dropped on colour, first Peach Pie then Strawberry Slush. Love the ombre look I achieved. I added the glass to the card front on Dimensionals.

On scrap Basic White card, I stamped a selection of leaves onto scrap Basic White card. I coloured the leaves using the following Blends Pens – Peach Pie, Lemon Lime Twist & Mossy Meadow. I die cut the leaves and tucked them behind the glass using Mini Glue Dots or Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped on scrap Basic Black card with Versamark ink, covered with White Embossing Powder and set using my Heat Tools. I trimmed it down before adding it to the card front.

A twine bow and a trio of Starburst Sequins completed the card.
