Poinsettia Bauble for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Tree Decorations’ – such a fun challenge. I have used the gorgeous Poinsettia Dies to make a hanging bauble for my tree.

Colours used in the Poinsettia Bauble are:

To recreate this project, you will need:

4” wooden circle
Real Red card – 8¼” by 3¼”
Garden Green card – 4½” by 2”
Scrap Gold Foil

Using a Big Bite hole puncher, I punched hole at the top of the 4” wooden circle. I used the Birch background stamp and Early Espresso ink and stamped it onto the circle and set it aside to dry. I mounted the stamp on a Stamparatus Plate as I find this easier to manage.

With my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I die cut the largest three flowers from the Poinsettia Dies. I cut the outline and the embossing piece at the same time.

I used a Bone Folder to curve the petals, the largest one downwards and the other two layers upwards. I adhered the middle piece to the largest piece with a Dimensional and then added the smaller flower to the middle layer with a Mini Dimensional. I cut a flower centre from scrap Gold Foil and added it with Multicoloured Liquid Adhesive. I covered the petals with Clear Wink of Stella to give a bit of sparkle.

Bauble Bird

Today I am sharing a gorgeous bauble bird Christmas card inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest recently made using the Have a Hoot stamp set which unfortunately was not watermarked. I decided to CASE the card using the Free As A Bird Stamp set.

To recreate the Bauble Bird card you will need:

Thick Whisper White card – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded Upper Left corner
Whisper White – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – Rounded Upper Left corner

Using a Basic Black Marker I coloured in the top of one of the baubles and stamped it towards the top of the panel of Whisper White.

I die cut a circle from copy paper  measuring about 6 by 4 ½” – using the Layering Circle dies and used the negative space to act as a mask.

Using sponges I added Pool Party ink all over the circle then Bermuda Bay around the edge. I removed the copy paper to reveal the inked circle.

The sweet branch of birds was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and I used the following Blends Markers to colour in the image – Crumb Cake, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, Smoky Slate. Highland Heather
