A simply stamped card made using the Oceanfront stamp set by Stampin' Up! for the Stamp 'n Hop Blog Hop

Oceanfront for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where we are sharing out favourite bundle and hands down my favourite is Oceanfront, even though it is a stamp set not strictly a bundle. I just love it and it is so incredible, so versatile and works so well with lots of other stamp sets and dies.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the oceanfront card, you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Soft Suede card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Crumb Cake card – 4” by 1”

Using the small wedge-shaped stamp, I stamped the ‘ground’ in Sahara Sand ink.

The water/sky was stamped in Balmy blue ink using the stamp with a wedge missing and I used the wedge stamp again to add more texture to the top.

The stamped panel was added to the Soft Suede layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and 3 pieces of the Crumb Cake Twine securing it on the back with Sellotape. The whole piece was then glued to the Crumb Cake card base.

The sentiment from the On The Horizon stamp set was stamped in Early Espresso ink on a scrap of Crumb Cake card and was adhered over the twine on Dimensionals.

A card for the Crafty Collaborations Vacation Blog Hop in spired by the North-East coast of Scotland

Crafty Collaboration Vacation Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Vacation Blog Hop where we are thinking about holidays. I know many people can’t wait to start travelling again and are dreaming about where they will go first. I am going to Scotland to see my family in August, they live on the North-East coast and my card reflects the sea and coast. This is a picture of the place where my Mum and Dad are from with the ruined 14th century red sandstone castle on the cliff by the beach……. just beautiful.

Colours used in this project:

To recreate the vacation card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Pacific Point card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner – one for the inside

I began by stamping the lighthouse, from the Sailing Home stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink onto one of the Basic White panels. I stamped the image again on a Post It Note, cut it out to use as a mask. The mask was placed over the stamped image.

The ‘cliff and beach’ image from the Arctic Bears stamp set was then stamped in Basic Gray ink. The mask was left in place and the sailing boat was added in Basic Gray ink.

Using a Blending Brush and a piece of ripped printer paper I added Balmy Blue ink to create a sky and Pacific Point to create the sea.

I used Sponge Daubers to add Granny Apple Green ink to the cliff tops, Cinnamon Cider to the cliff face and base of the lighthouse and So Saffron to the beach area. The boat was coloured using the Poppy Parade, Crumb Cake, Pacific Point and So Saffron Blends Markers.

The birds were added in Basic Gray ink before the stamped panel was added to the Pacific Point panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I used the same glue to add the panel to the Balmy Blue card front.
