Random Vases Card

Today I am sharing a thank you card made for a friend using the Pop-up Petals stamp set.

 Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the random vases card, you will need:

Blackberry Bliss card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Poppy Parade card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3¾” by 1¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside

 

I began by stamping the vase in Blackberry Bliss onto the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card.

A second vase was added with Poppy Parade ink and a third using lemon Lime Twist ink. I then randomly stamped the same image using the same three colours until the panel was fully covered.

The decorated panel was the adhered to the panel of Poppy Parade card, a length of retired Blackberry Bliss Twine was wrapped around the layer before it was adhered to the Blackberry Bliss card base.

A label was die cut from the small piece of Basic White card using the Nested Essentials Dies. The sentiment, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped onto the label with Blackberry Bliss ink. The label was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Vase of Chrysanthemums Card

I have used the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set to make this cute card featuring a vase of chrysanthemums.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the vase of chrysanthemums card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Petunia Pop card – 5½” by 3¾”
Cloud Cover card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 1¼” by ⅜”
Scrap Basic White card

 

I embossed the piece of Cloud Cover card using the Damask Design Embossing Folder and adhered it to the Petunia Pop panel. A piece of (possibly retired) Petunia Pop Bordered Ribbon was wrapped around the panel before it was glued to the Thick Basic White card front.

A large label was die cut from the 5¼” by 3¼” Basic White card using the Nested Essentials Dies. I randomly stamped the dotting image from the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set on the label with Cloud Cover ink. The label was then adhered to the card front.

On scrap Basic White card, I stamped 3 chrysanthemum flowers using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the flowers in using the Petunia Pop and Old Olive Blends Pens. They were die cut using the Inspiring Imperfections Dies.

The tall vase was stamped in Versamark ink onto scrap Basic White card. I covered it with Gold Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. The whole vase was coloured in using the Light Cloud Cover Blends Pen and the flowers picked out with the Dark Cloud Cover Blends Pen. Using a craft knife I cut a slit in the top of the vase and inserted the stem of 2 of the flowers. The whole piece was then added to the label on Dimensionals. The final flower was slipped underneath the vase and glued in position.

I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set with Petunia Pop ink onto the small piece of Basic White card. This was then glued to the card front.

A ribbon bow and a trio of Adhesive-backed Pearl Trio embellishments were added to complete the card.

Japanese Bowl Themed Card

I am loving the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set and have used it today to make a simple Japanese bowl themed card.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the Japanese bowl themed card, you will need:

Smoky Slate card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 4¾” by 3¼”
Peach Pie card – 4½” by 3”
Basic White card – 4⅜” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 2¼” by 1”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

 

I stamped the floral image in 2nd generation Smoky Slate ink in the upper left and lower right corners of the Smoky Slate card front.

On the smallest piece of Basic White card, I randomly stamped the Japanese bowl in Misty Moonlight ink. The flowers on each bowl were then coloured using the Light Peach Pie Blends Pen.

A piece of Misty Moonlight Ribbon was wrapped around the layer before it was glued to the 4⅜” by 2⅞” panel of Basic White card. This piece was then glued to the Smoky Slate card front.

No Dinos card

Here is a quirky card made using the Darling Dinos stamp set and the Perennial Postage Dies. I love stamp sets with lots of small images, they are so versatile and such fun to create with.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the no dinos card, you will need:

Basic Beige card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Secret Sea card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic Beige card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White and Secret Sea card

 

Using the Perennial Postage Dies I die cut several of the smaller rectangles from scrap Basic White card.

I roughly laid the die cut rectangles out on the panel of Basic Beige to see how they would best fit. Some of the rectangles were cut down to make them shorter or thinner.

All of the images from the Darling Dinos stamp set were stamped on the rectangles with Secret Sea ink and coloured them in using the following Blends Pens – Strawberry Slush, Darling Duckling, Granny Apple Green, Pecan Pie, Dark Naturals & Secret Sea. The decorated rectangles were then added to the Basic Beige panel on Dimensionals.

The small heart image was stamped in Basic Beige in the small gaps before the whole panel was glued to the Secret Sea layer. I then adhered it to the Basic Beige card front.

Darling Sunflower card

I have used the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder to make a striking ‘just a note card’.

To recreate the darling sunflower card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Secret Sea card – 5¼” by 3½”
Scrap Basic White & Early Espresso card

 

Using the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder I embossed the panel of Basic White card.

I repeatedly dragged a Darling Duckling ink pad over the embossed side of the Basic White panel and used Sponge Dauber to add Early Espresso ink to the flower centres.

The embossed layer was added to the Early Espresso panel and a length of White Ribbon was wrapped around. The whole piece was glued to the Thick Basic White card front.

I die cut a second label, cut it from side to side and added the pieces to the back of the sentiment. I added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

I have used the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder to make a striking ‘thinking of you card’.

Using the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder I embossed the panel of Secret Sea card.

The sentiment, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped In Secret Sea ink onto scrap Basic White card. The sentiment was then die cut using the Greetings of the Season dies. I added it over the ribbon with Mini Glue Dots.

The 5½” by 2¾” piece of Wildflower Birthday dsp was glued to the 5⅝” by 2⅞” panel of Basic White card and then to the largest panel of the Old Olive card front. The 5½” by ⅞” dsp piece was then glued to the 5⅝” by 1 strip of Basic White card before it was glued to the small panel of the card front.

I adhered the 3⅞” by ⅞” piece of Wildflower Birthday dsp to the 4⅛” by 1” strip of Basic White card. I glued the left-hand side of the strip to the left-hand side of the card front.

From the square of Basic White card I die cut a stitched Circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies. The sentiment, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped onto the die cut circle with Old Olive ink. The circle was then added to the card front.
