A pretty thinking of you card made using the Blessed Beginnings stamp sets and dies from Stampin' Up!

Thinking of You Card

Today I am sharing a pretty thinking of you card made using the Blessed Beginning stamp set and dies.

Colours used to make this card are:

I created the thinking of you card using the following supplies:

Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Balmy Blue card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

I used a Blending Brush to apply Balmy Blue ink to the smaller panel of Basic White card and added the ‘ground’ with Crumb Cake ink.

I stamped a tree and a bush on the right-hand side of the panel using Basic Gray ink. The tree was coloured with Granny Apple Green Blends Pens and the bush with Old Olive Blends Pens. The panel was then glued to the Balmy Blue layer and then to the Old Olive card base.

I stamped the church on scrap Basic White card; 2 trees and 2 bushes were stamped using the same ink on the same scrap card. I cut these out using the Blessed Beginnings Dies.

I coloured the church with the following Blends Pens – Lemon Lolly, Crumb Cake and Gray Granite. The trees were coloured as those above. I cut the church and trees using the Blessed Beginnings Dies and fussy cut the bushes. These were added to the card front with either glue or Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment, from the Tractor & Co stamp set with Basic Gray ink onto scrap Basic White card. I trimmed it down, flagged the ends and added it to the card front.

Beautiful Trees for the Global Design Project #225

Today I am playing with the Global Design Project#225 colour challenge. I love a colour challenge and the colours this time are so bright and cheerful. I have made a card using the new Beautiful Trees dies and the Beauty of Friendship stamp set.

Challenge Colours:

To recreate the Beautiful Trees card, you will need

Magenta Madness card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4 – Rounded upper left corner
Basic Black – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper left corner x 2, one for the inside
Scrap Magenta Madness, Coastal Cabana, Bumblebee and Basic Black

I stamped the bare tree image from the gorgeous Beauty of Nature stamp set in Magenta Madness ink onto Magenta Madness card and again in Coastal Cabana ink onto Coastal Cabana ink onto Coastal Cabana card and finally in Bumblebee ink onto Bumblebee card.

Using the same machine, I ran through one of the Basic White card panels with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to add the embossed panel to the Basic Black layer.

The whole panel was then glued to the Magenta Madness card front using the same liquid glue.
