A get well card made for a colour challenge using the Feathered Fun stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Get Well Wishes card – Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop where we have a colour combo to inspire us. I have a made a get-well card for a poorly friend.

Colours used to make this card are:

I created the get well wishes card using the following supplies:

Pretty In Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Azure Afternoon – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

I stamped the two birds with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the 5¼” by 3½” piece of Basic White card. I also stamped the birds on Post It Notes, cut them out and placed them over the stamped birds to act as masks,

With the masks in place, I stamped the branches with Pecan Pie ink. The masks were then removed and the leaves added in Granny Apple Green ink.

I used the following Blends Pens to add colour to the birds – Pretty In Pink, Darling Duckling, Azure Afternoon and Granny Apple Green.

The sentiment, from the Friendly Foliage stamp set was stamped at the bottom of the panel with Azure Afternoon ink. I added the same ink around the image using a Blending Brush. The whole panel was then glued to the Azure Afternoon panel. The whole piece was then mounted onto the Pretty In Pink card front on Dimensionals.

Pretty Birds on a Branch

Today I am sharing a sweet card featuring pretty birds on a branch made using the Free as a Bird Stamp set and some Blends Markers.

To recreate the Pretty Birds on a branch card you will need:

Crumb Cake 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Daffodil Delight 4⅜” by 2⅞”
Old Olive 5 ¼” by 3 ¼”
Whisper White 4⅛” by 2⅝”
Whisper White 5⅜” by 3⅝” – for the inside

I stamped the pretty leaf image in Crumb Cake ink randomly around the sides of the Crumb Cake card front. The Daffodil Delight panel was added to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I used the following Blends Markers to colour in the image – Old Olive combo, Crumb Cake combo, Daffodil Delight combo and Flirty Flamingo combo. These birds look so cute…..

Using the Banner Triple Punch I flagged both ends of the Old Olive strip and glued it to the back of the stamped panel. This piece was then added to the card front on Dimensionals. The pearls were coloured using the dark Flirty Flamingo Blends Marker.
