The Share a Milkshake stamp set and dies used to make a card showcasing the 'kissing' technique for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Glass of Milkshake for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing projects showcasing the ‘Kissing Technique’. I have used the pretty Share a Milkshake stamp set and dies to make my card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the glass of milkshake card, you will need:

Sweet Sorbet card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Soft Suede card – 3⅞” by 2½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 3¾” by 2⅜” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 2” by ¾”
Scrap Basic White card

Using Sweet Sorbet ink, I stamped the floral image from the Blessings of Home stamp set around the edge of the Sweet Sorbet card front and set it to one side.

I inked up the solid milkshake glass in Pale Papaya ink and set it down with the inked side uppermost. I then inked the floral image in Sweet Sorbet ink and stamped it down onto the inked surface of the milkshake image. The floral image transfers onto the milkshake glass, so cool. I stamped it down onto scrap Basic White card and die cut it out using the Share a Milkshake Dies. I added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

A pretty love you card for the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop using the Share a Milkshake stamp set and co-ordinating set of dies by Stampin' Up!

Yummy Milkshake card for the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are using up or recycling left over bits and pieces from other projects. I chose to use a Rich Razzleberry oval, a decorative oval frame, both left over from my January classes and a stamped sundae glass that I didn’t end up using on another project.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the yummy milkshake card, you will need:

Polished Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3¾”
Rich Razzleberry – 4” by 3” – to die cut the oval
Basic White card – 5” by 4⅛” – to die cut decorative oval frame
Rich Razzleberry card – 1½” by ½”
Rich Razzleberry card – 4⅛” by ½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White & Polished Pink card

I ran the 5⅛” by 3¾” panel of Basic White, an offcut lying about on my desk, through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. It turned out to be a little shorter than I thought so I die cut a scalloped border from the longer strip of Rich Razzleberry card using the Penned Flowers Dies, added it to the bottom of the embossed panel and trimmed off the excess.

A pretty animal themed waterfall card made using the Day At The Farm designer series paper for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Farm Animal Waterfall Card for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing ideas for pop-up cards. I have to share a waterfall card made using the gorgeous Day At The Farm dsp.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the farm animal waterfall card, you will need:

Garden Green card base – 11¾” by 4⅛” – scored at 5⅞”
Basic White card 5 ½” by 3 ¾” x 2
Day At The Farm dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Garden Green card – 8⅝” by 2¾” – Scored at 1¾”, 2½”, 3¼” & 4”
Garden Green card – 4⅛” by 1”
Pear Pizzazz card – 2⅝” by 2⅝” x 3
Basic White card –2½” by 2½” x 3
Pear Pizzazz card – 2⅝” by 1⅝”
Basic White – 2½” by 1½”
Scrap Day At The Farm dsp
Scrap Basic White & Daffodil Delight

Glue the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Day At The Farm dsp to one of the large panels of Basic White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Use the same glue to add the panel to the Garden Green card base.

A pretty animal themed waterfall card made using the Day At The Farm designer series paper for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Day At The Farm designer series paper used to make a pretty animal themed waterfall card for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Adhere the small strip of Garden Green card about 2¼” up from the bottom of the card front. Use strong adhesive such as Tear & Tape or Snail Plus as this piece gets a lot of pulling about.

Next, insert the 4⅝” (longest side) end of the scored 8⅝” strip of Garden Green card into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch; it is wider than the opening so is a bit of a fiddle. Push it right to the end then punch. Pull it out and trim off the extra piece on each side.

Fold on all the score lines and slip the punched scalloped end of the Garden Green card under the strip of card you have just glued across the card. The scored part of the card will then be on top of the band. Using strong adhesive glue along the top of the scored panel – face down – adhere the piece to the bottom end of the band. This forms the waterfall mechanism.

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Day At The Farm designer series paper used to make a pretty animal themed waterfall card for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Use liquid adhesive at the top of each of the 2⅝” by 2⅝” panels of Pear Pizzazz and the 2⅝” by 1⅝” panel of Pear Pizzazz , adhere them to the small scored strips of the waterfall panel.

Using a Blending Brush add Balmy Blue ink to the 3 panels of Basic White measuring 2½” by 2½”. Cut down some of the dsp to create the effect of grass at the bottom of each of the Basic White panels.

Die cut some of the animals from the dsp using the On The Farm Dies and add then to the inked panels. Die cut some clouds using the same set of dies and glue parts of clouds to each panel before mounting the panels onto the larger Pear Pizzazz card layers.

Stamp the sentiment in Garden Green ink onto the 2½” by 1½” piece of Basic White, add 2 ducks die cut using the same set of dies and glue to the smaller panel of Pear Pizzazz.

Add a die cut goose to the final Basic White panel and glue to the back of the panel with the  punched scalloped bottom. Add a piece of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to act as a pull tab and the card is complete.

The sentiment from the Beautiful Thistle stamp set was stamped in Garden Green ink onto the smallest piece of Basic White card. I fagged the end, trimmed it down and tucked it under the raised panel.

Tropical Palms card for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop whare we are sharing projects inspired by a picture and colour combo. I have used the Oceanfront and Paradise Palms stamp sets to make a card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Tropical Palms card, you will need:

Tahitian Tide card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Crumb Cake card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Fluid 100 card – 5” by 3¼”
Very Vanilla card – 2½” by 1”
Very Vanilla card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

Using a Spritzer I sprayed water onto the panel of Fluid 100 card, this will allow the ink to move around on the card.

I inked up the ‘sea’ stamp from the Oceanfront stamp set with Bermuda Bay at the top and Coastal Cabana ink at the bottom of the stamp. I stamped down onto the wet Fluid 100 card.

The ‘sky’ image from the same stamp set was inked up with Tahitian Tide ink and stamped down as above. I didn’t mind if there was a little mixing of the inks.

I left the panel to dry a little before stamping the ‘sand’ image, again from the Oceanfront stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. I used a Heat Tool to completely dry the stamped background before moving onto the next step.

Using the Stamparatus I stamped the tree trunks from the Paradise Palms stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. I like to use the Stamparatus with Watercolor card as I can stamp multiple times to get the depth of colour and definition I want. The palm tree tops were added with Old Olive ink using the Stamparatus. The whole panel was then glued to the Crumb Cake layer and then added to the Tahitian Tide card base on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped on Very Vanilla card and die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies and added to the card front to complete the card.
