The Boughs of Holly dsp and Spruced Up Dies by Stampin' Up! used to make a card for the Share it Sunday Blog Hop

Boughs of Holly Bauble for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Share it Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on recently. I have been designing projects for a Christmas Stamp-a-Stack using the Boughs of Holly dsp and made this card using some of the left-over pieces.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the boughs of holly card, you will need:

Shaded Spruce card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Real Red card – 5⅛” by 2⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 2¼”
Basic White card – 4” by 3”
Adhesive Sheet – 4” by 3”
Boughs of Holly dsp – strips ⅜” wide
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Shaded Spruce card – 2¼” by ⅜”

Using my paper trimmer, I cut ⅜” strips of Boughs of Holly designer Series Paper (dsp).

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Spruced Up Dies used with the Timeworn Text Embossing Folder and Boughs of Holly dsp to make a card for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop

I applied the Adhesive Sheet to the piece of Basic White card measuring 4” by 3” and peeled off the backing. The strips of dsp were then laid edge to edge across the basic White panel, the adhesive keeping them in position.

I die cut the larger bauble from the Spruced Up Dies and separated the solid inner from the delicate outer piece. I also die cut the star and the flower from the scrap.

The 5” by 2¼” piece of Basic White card was embossed using the Timeworn Text Embossing Folder. This was then glued to the Real Red panel and added to the Shaded Spruce card base on Dimensionals.

I stamped a selection of leaves and stems in Pear Pizzazz ink on to scrap Basic White card.

The flowers were stamped in Fresh Freesia, Petal Pink and So Saffron ink and I added the flower centres in Soft Suede ink.

All these pieces were die cut using the Cut & Emboss Machine and the Sending Dies. I used a little Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to attach the flowers to the stems. I then began to lay out the blossoms on the small panel of Basic White card.

When I was happy with the placement, I stuck them down using liquid glue for the lower layers and Dimensionals for the top blooms. The decorated panel was added to the  Pear Pizzazz layer with liquid glue.

Hello and welcome to the Colour Combo Blog Hop where we are sharing projects made using the following colour combination:

I am using the very versatile Bottled Happiness stamp set to make my card today.

To recreate the bottles card, you will need:

Soft Succulent card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Vellum – 5¼” by 3½”
Starry Sky card – 2¼” by 2¼”
Basic White card – 2” by 2”

I stamped the bottle all over one of the 5½” by 3¾” panels of Basic White card in Soft Succulent, Pacific Point and Starry Sky inks. The images were stamped either vertically or horizontally. The stamped panel was adhered to the larger Basic White panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I added the vellum panel over the top secured with a strip of Seal + placed where my sentiment would hide it.

I wrapped a length of Starry Sky Woven Metallic Ribbon around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then added to the Soft Succulent card base on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Starry Sky ink onto the square of Basic White card. It was then die cut using one of the Stylish Shapes Dies. A slightly larger circle was die cut from the Starry Sky square using the same set of Dies. The circles were adhered together with liquid glue and added to the card front on Mini Glue Dots.

A bow made from the same woven metallic ribbon and a trio of 2022 – 2024 In Color Dots completes the card.
