A gorgeous Christmas card made using the Peaceful Cabin stamp set by Stampin' Up! and made for a team swap

Team Swaps – Peaceful Cabin

We had a fun team meeting yesterday, first in person meet since before Christmas 2019. It was so lovely to see everyone again and to share news and inspiration. As part of the event many of us made swaps to share and I chose to make mine using the Peaceful Cabin stamp set from the July – December 2021 mini catalogue which launches to customers on the 3rd August.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the team swap card, you will need:

Balmy Blue cad base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Mossy Meadow card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Basic White card – ⅜” strip

I stamped the cabin in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White card. I was making multiple cards for the team swap and the Stamparatus gave me the opportunity to stamp the image many times with ease. I could also re-stamp if I wanted the image to be darker. Love my Stamparatus.

I stamped the image again on a Post It Note, cut it out and used it to mask the cabin before stamping the large trees in Mossy Meadow ink.

The mask was left in place and I added a 1” circle mask for the moon. Using a Blending Brush, I added Balmy Blue ink to create the sky behind the cabin and trees.  The masks were then removed.

The ‘snow’ on the ground was coloured using a very light application of Pool Party ink using a Blending Brush.

The clouds were added in Balmy Blue ink to give some texture to the sky. The sweet little fox was added in Cinnamon Cider ink. The inked panel was then added to the Mossy Meadow layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and then added to the Balmy Blue card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment – from the Peaceful Deer stamp set – in Mossy Meadow ink onto the Basic White strip, trimmed it down with Scissors and added it to the card front. To finish I added Clear Wink of Stella to the roof of the cabin and the snow on the ground, so pretty.

The Christmas Trimmings Dies used to make a star themed Christmas card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Christmas Trimmings for the Ink. Stamp, Share. Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp, Share Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Christmas in July’.  We have so many lovely Christmas goodies coming in the new July – December 2021 Mini Catalogue that we can sometimes overlook the Christmas sets in the Annual Catalogue. I have chosen to use one of these sets, Christmas Trimmings,  to make my card.

Colours used in this project are:

T recreate the Christmas Trimmings card, you will need:

So Saffron card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Early Espresso card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner
Very Vanilla card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner x 2 – one for the inside
Early Espresso card – 3¼” by ⅝”
Gold Metallic Speciality Paper

Using the’ basket weave’ image from the Natural Textures stamp set I stamped in 2nd generation So Saffron ink to stamp all over one of the Very Vanilla panels. This gives both colour and texture to the background. The stamped panel was then added to the Early Espresso panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, then to the So Saffron card base with the same glue.

Gleaming Baubles

It’s that time again you are joining me for the December Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Christmas’.  I love a bit of Christmas crafting and have made a gleaming baubles card using the Christmas Gleaming stamp set. If you have hopped over from the lovely Cheryl Taylor, welcome. If you are starting with me you are also very welcome.

To recreate the Gleaming Baubles card you will need:

Seaside Spray card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner

Pretty Peacock – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – Rounded  Brightly Gleaming Stamp set.upper left corner

Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper left corner x 2
Scrap Whisper White and Just Jade.

Using a Sponge Dauber I added Frost White Shimmer Paint to one of the baubles from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and stamped it onto one of the Whisper White panels. A Christmas Card made using the Curvy Christmas stamp set and the Stitched Stars dies and Curvy dies by Stampin' Up!

Curvy Stars Christmas card

Today I am sharing a curvy stars Christmas card made using a lovely new super bundle. The bundle includes the Quite Curvy stamp set and Curvy dies which will be available in the January to June 2021 mini catalogue and an add on stamp set called Curvy Christmas stamp set plus the Classic Christmas designer series paper, these will only be available until the end of December or while stocks last and they are GORGEOUS.

To recreate the curvy stars Christmas card, you will need:

Thick Whisper White card base –- 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Classic Christmas dsp – 5⅞” by 3”
Scrap Misty Moonlight, Whisper White & Gold Foil

Taking the gorgeous dotty edge die from the Curvy die set and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine I cut off part of the card front. Doesn’t it look cool.

I stamped the spray of stars, love this image, along the cut edge of the card front in Misty Moonlight ink. I also stamped the row of stars onto the inside panel in the same ink.

I used the same dotty die to cut the same shape into the dsp panel and used my Paper Trimmer to trim the panel down to size before adhering it to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Using the same ink I stamped one of the large snowflakes onto the smaller Whisper White panel. I took another of the large snowflakes and stamped it over the first snowflake in 2nd Generation Smoky Slate ink.

I managed to get a little Magenta Madness ink smudge below the sentiment so added a couple of the tiny snowflakes in the Magenta ink to hide it………

The stamped layer was glued to the Magenta Madness layer using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and added to the card front on Dimensionals.

To complete the card I added a Basic Rhinestone to the centre of the snowflake and I couldn’t resist spraying the whole card with my handmade Frost White Shimmer Spray. This was made by filling a Stampin’ Spritzer ¾ full of 70% alcohol and adding a pea sized drop of the shimmer paint. Shake well and spray. GORGEOUS………….

I hope you like the card.
