Tic Tac Toe Challenge for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we have a Tic Tac Toe challenge. I have chosen the diagonal line with Jewels, Ribbon and Christmas to make my card.

May be an image of text that says "Jewels Circle Blue Critter Ribbon Square Vellum Pink Christmas"

Colours used in this project are;

To recreate the Tic Tac Toe card, you will need:

Evening Evergreen card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Gold Glimmer Paper – 5¾” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3”
Basic white care – 5⅞” by 1½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Basic White strip – 3” by ½”

I ran the 5½” by 3” panel of Basic White card through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Embossing Plate and the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder. I chose the one with the snowflakes, so pretty.

Using the large outline star from the Christmas Trimmings Dies I die cut a star from the centre of the God Glimmer panel, making sure to stay away from the edges. The embossed panel was then glued to the Gold Glimmer paper using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I ran the 5⅞” by 1½” piece of Basic White through the die cutting machine with the scalloped edge die from the Scalloped Contour set of dies. The scalloped edge was then added to the embossed panel with the liquid glue. The whole piece was added to the Evening Evergreen card base.

The loop of Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon was adhered to the embossed panel with a piece of Tear n Tape and the die cut gold glimmer star added overtop with Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Stars Are Shinning stamp set was stamped on the thin strip of card in Evening Evergreen ink and trimmed down with scissors. I added it to the card front with glue and a piece of Dimensional at the right edge.

Christmas Trimmings for the Ink. Stamp, Share. Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp, Share Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Christmas in July’.  We have so many lovely Christmas goodies coming in the new July – December 2021 Mini Catalogue that we can sometimes overlook the Christmas sets in the Annual Catalogue. I have chosen to use one of these sets, Christmas Trimmings,  to make my card.

Colours used in this project are:

T recreate the Christmas Trimmings card, you will need:

So Saffron card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Early Espresso card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner
Very Vanilla card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner x 2 – one for the inside
Early Espresso card – 3¼” by ⅝”
Gold Metallic Speciality Paper

Using the’ basket weave’ image from the Natural Textures stamp set I stamped in 2nd generation So Saffron ink to stamp all over one of the Very Vanilla panels. This gives both colour and texture to the background. The stamped panel was then added to the Early Espresso panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, then to the So Saffron card base with the same glue.

Next, I took the star dies, both the outline and the detailed, from the Christmas Trimmings Dies and cut them from the Gold Metallic Speciality paper.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the large and small star frames and the small solid star to the stamped background panel.

I decided to leave all the infill pieces in the more detailed stars in situ and added them to the card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas to Remember stamp set,  in Versamark ink onto the strip of Early Espresso card, covered it with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool. I flagged the end with Scissors and added the piece to the card front on Dimensionals. To complete the card, I added a scattering of Gold Metallic Pearls.
