Adventure Begins Card – Stamping Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing congratulations graduate cards. I have made my card using the Scenic Adventure stamp set and dies.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the adventure begins card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Secret Sea card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Cloud Cover card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Secret Sea card – 1½” by ¼”
Scrap Balmy Blue, Shaded Spruce, Mossy Meadow, Gray Granite & Pecan Pie

Using the cloud image, I stamped across the top of the Cloud Cover panel with Cloud Cover ink.

I die cut the mountain from scrap Gray Granite and Pecan Pie card. I adhered them together with the Pecan Pie behind. These were glued to the Cloud Cover panel and the excess trimmed off.

I embossed the scrap Balmy Blue card with the watery image and added it to the bottom of the panel and trimmed off the excess. The whole piece was glued to the 5¼” by 3½” piece of Basic White card and then to the slightly larger Secret Sea panel. The whole piece was glued to the Balmy Blue card front.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto the thin strip of Secret Sea card, covered with White Embossing Powder and set using my Heat Tool. I added it to the card front. A trio of Dappled Dots finished the card.

Pink Car Card

Today I am sharing a card made for a friend who has just passed her driving test. She loves pink so a pink car themed card seemed the perfect choice.

Colours used in the pink car card are:

To recreate the pink car card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Full of Life dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 4½” by 3½”
Scrap Basic White & Melon Mambo

The panel of Full of Life dsp was adhered to the larger piece of Basic White card. I added the layer to the Thick Basic White card front, off set. The pebble image, from the Friendly Seagull stamp set was stamped along the bottom of the dsp panel.

I stamped the outline card in Pebbled Path ink onto the 4½” by 3½” piece of Basic White card and die cut it using the Classic Wedding Dies. I also stamped a banner on the same scrap card using the same Pebbled Path ink before die cutting it out.

Using Pretty in Pink ink I stamped the infill image to add colour to the car. 2nd generation Pool Party ink was used to fill in the rear window. The tyres were stamped in Pebbled Path ink. The bumper was coloured using a Basic Gray Watercolor Pencil. Color was added to the boot latch with a Melon Mambo watercolor pencil and a little Daffodil Delight watercolor pencil was added to the car lights. The card was added to the card front on Dimensionals.
