Cards made for the circle themed Christmas Stampathon challenge using the Cottage Wreaths stamp set and Sponge Daubers by Stampin' Up!

Circle themed card for the Christmas Stampathon

Today I am sharing the cards made for the January Christmas Stampathon. The theme for this month is ‘Circles’.

My first thought was the Cottage Wreaths stamp set from the Annual Catalogue, but I have used it so much that it felt a bit obvious. I was thinking about what to do and attempting to tidy up my desk when my hand fell on my box of sponge daubers………..and just like that I knew what I wanted to do. As per the rules of the challenge I have made 4 cards.

Colours in this project are:

To recreate 4 circle themed card, you will need:

Card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – I chose 2 in Sweet Sorbet and 2 in Tahitian Tide
Early Espresso card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” x 4
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 8 – 4 for the insides
Gold Glimmer paper – 4” by 1” x 4
Basic White card – 4” by 4” x 4

You can never have too many circles when you have a circle theme so I used the dotty 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the 4 Basic White panels for the outside of the card. This panel was then adhered to the Early Espresso layer. I glued the piece to the card bases.

From the 4” by 4” squares of Basic White I die cut 4 circles using the Everyday Details Dies. In the centre of each die cut circle I stamped the twiggy wreath in Early Espresso ink.
