Traditional Elf Card

Here is a traditional elf themed Christmas card made using the Festive Friends stamp set and dies along with the Traditions of Christmas dsp.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the traditional elf card, you will need:

Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Traditions of Christmas dsp – 3¾” by 2” x 2 – different patterns
Scrap Basic White card

 

I glued the two pieces of Traditions of Christmas dsp to one of the Basic White panels, one higher than the other and both offset.

A strip of retired Cherry Cobbler and Gold ribbon (retired) was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then adhered to the Old Olive card front.

The elf was stamped in Secret Sea ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut using the Festive Friends Dies.

I coloured the elf in using the following Blends Pens – Ivory, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Secret Sea.

The sentiment was stamped in Secret Sea ink. I added a bow and a trio of Wonderful Gems finished the card.

Trio of Elves Card – Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Share It Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing  a project we have been working on. The card I am sharing features a trio of elf’s and was made using the adorable Festive Friends stamp set and a masking technique.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the trio of elf’s card, you will need:

Granny Apple Green card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Secret Sea card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 2¼” by 1”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card
Scrap of Adhesive Sheet

 

I stamped the snowflake in the upper left and lower right corners of the Granny Apple Green card base using Granny Apple Green ink.

In the centre of the 5” by 3¼” panel of Basic White card I stamped the elf with Secret Sea ink. I stamped the same image onto a scrap of Adhesive Sheet and fussy cut it out. I removed the backing paper and adhered the mask over the original stamped image.

The same image was stamped again using the same ink, once to the right and then to the left of the masked image. The mask was then removed.

The elves were then coloured in using the following Blends Pens – Ivory for their skin, Dark Crumb Cake for the hair, Light Smoky Slate for the trousers and either Soft Sea Foam, Lemon Lime Twist or Granny Apple Green for the coat and hat. The decorated panel was then adhered to the Secret Sea layer before it was mounted onto the granny Apple Green card front.

The sentiment was stamped with Secret Sea ink onto scrap Basic White card. I die cut it out using the Traditional Labels dies. I ran it through the Cut & Emboss Machine twice to make the label smaller. The sentiment was then glued to the card front.

Jumper Sketch Card – Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we have a sketch to inspire our creativity. I have made my card using the Stay Warm stamp set.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the jumper sketch card, you will need:

Secret Sea card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Traditions of Christmas dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 3¾” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 1½” by ½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside

 

The panel of Kintsugi Inspirations designer series paper was glued to the larger panel of Basic White card. I wrapped a length of Old Olive Linen Thread around the layer before gluing the panel to the Secret Sea card front.

From the square of Basic White card I die cut a circle using the Spotlight on Nature Dies.

Using Secret Sea ink, I stamped the jumper onto the die cut circle and added colour using the following Blends Pens – dark Real Red and light and dark Old Olive. The circle was mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

Elf Card

Here is a pretty elf themed card made using the adorable Festive Friends stamp set and the Full of Life designer series paper (dsp).

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the elf card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Full of Life dsp – 5½” by 2¼”
Silver Foil – 5½” by ⅜”
Secret Sea card – 3⅛” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 3” by 2¾”

 

The strip of silver foil was glued to the piece of Full of Life dsp. I Placed it on the Thick Basic White card front but didn’t glue it down.

I stamped a trio of snowflakes with Lost Lagoon ink to the felt of the dsp panel. The panel was then glued down.

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are being inspired by a sketch. I have made my card using the gorgeous new Festive Friends stamp set.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the festive Santa card, you will need:

Smoky Slate card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Country Lace dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Secret Sea card – 3⅝” by 2⅝”
Basic White card – 3⅜” by 2⅜”
Poppy Parade card – 5⅜” by ¾”
Balmy Blue card – 4⅝” by ¾”

 

The piece of Country Lace dsp was adhered to the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card. This was then glued to the Smoky Slate card base.

The Santa was stamped in Secret Sea ink onto the small piece of Basic White card. I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the image – Petal Pink, Poppy Parade, Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate and Secret Sea.

I added ‘ground’ using a light Smoky Slate Blends Pen and stamped the pretty snowflakes from the Woodland Scenery stamp set all over the panel in Balmy Blue ink. The decorated panel was then adhered, at an angle, to the Secret Sea panel. The whole piece was mounted on the card front on Dimensionals.
