I added a couple of Dimensionals to the back of the tag but did not remove the backing. I wanted the height with the ability for the tag to slide in and out.

Pocketful of Happiness meets Family Party

Today I am sharing a card made for a friends 60th birthday using the Pocketful of Happiness and Family Party stamp sets.

To recreate the Pocketful of Happiness card you will need:

Flirty Flamingo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” and 2 1/16”
Mint Macaron – 5⅝” by 3⅞” x 2 – Rounded upper right and lower left corner
Whisper White – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper right and lower left corner
Whisper White – 3½” by 3½”
Whisper White – 3½” by 2”

I folded the Flirty Flamingo card base in half then folded the second score line in the opposite direction and burnished using a bone folder. I rounded the upper right corner of the back panel, the lower left corner of the smaller panel  and the lower left corner on the central fold.

I added the same ink to the left hand side of the decorated Whisper White panel and added it to the card front.

Beautiful Friend stamp set makes a pretty floral card for a team training swap

Beautiful Friendship swaps

Today I am sharing a sweet card made as a swap for last weeks team training event using my favourite stamp set – Beautiful Friendship. I can’t seem to put this set down, I love it.

To recreate the Beautiful Friendship card you will need;

Garden Green 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner x 2

We punched out another label in Poppy Parade cardstock, cut it down the middle and glued it to the back of the sentiment so that a little red showed at either end. This was added over the top of the ribbon on Dimensionals. We added a couple of die cut leaves.

The whole panel was then added to the Bermuda bay card base.

The Square Topper Card

Soft Sea Foam card base 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded lower left corner

Bermda Bay 2½” by 2½”
Whisper White 2¼” by 2¼”
Scrap Whisper White

Pretty floral cards made using the Beautiful Promenade stamp set and Beautiful Layers dies

www.crafty-rootes.com – Beautiful Promenade stamp set and Beautiful Layers dies used for June classes

We stamped the frame in Granny Apple Green ink onto the small square of Whisper White and added the floral piece at the top in the same ink. The same floral image was then stamped twice on the scrap Whisper White in Poppy Parade ink and the flowers were then fussy cut using scissors and glued over the green flowers. Some of us inked around the flower edges with Poppy Parade ink and a sponge dauber.

The sentiment was added to the stamped frame and the stamped panel was then glued to the Bermuda Bay square.

Using a T square ruler and a pencil we drew a line down the front of the Soft Sea Foam card base. The rhomboid image was then stamped repeatedly  down the pencil line in Bermuda Bay ink and added a line of rhomboids to the right of the original line. When the ink was dry the pencil line was erased. The square topper was then placed over the top on dimensionals.

All the cards were decorated with Red Rhinestones or Basic Rhinestones coloured in with a dark Poppy Parade Blends Marker.

I really like the colour palette of these cards. I hope you like them.
