Stamping with Friends Blog Hop – 1

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing projects showcasing our gorgeous designer series paper (dsp). I have used the Bauble Blooms Dies with the Floral & Gingham Vellum to make a Christmas bauble card.

Colours used in making this card are:

 

To recreate the Christmas bauble card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Old Olive card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 4” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Floral & Gingham Vellum – 4” by ⅜” by strips
Old Olive card – 1⅝” by ½”

 

I piece of Adhesive Sheet was adhered to the Basic White panel measuring 4” by 3½”.

The strips of Floral & Gingham Vellum were then laid onto the adhesive sheet, butted up one against the other and at a diagonal. The large outline bauble from the Bauble Blooms Dies was used to cut out the bauble shape.

The die cut bauble was placed onto the 5” by 3¼” piece of Basic White card and the while piece was embossed using the Damask Designs Embossing Folder. The bauble was the added in place on the embossed panel on Dimensionals.

The bauble top was die cut from scrap Silver Foil and added to the top of the bauble. I tied a bow using the silver cord and added it with a Mini Glue Dot and a piece of silver cord was tucked behind the bow and secured on the front and back of the panel with a Mini Glue Dot.  The whole piece was glued to the Old Olive layer and then to the Pool Party card front.

The sentiment, from the Merriest Trees stamp set was stamped on the piece of Old Olive card in Versamark ink. I covered it with Silver Embossing Powder and set it with my Heat Tool before adding it to the card front.

Memorable Blooms Card

Here is a pretty card made using the Memorable Blooms stamp set.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the memorable blooms card, you will need:

Thick Basic White base – 8¼” by 5¾” – scored at 4⅛”
Old Olive card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Floral & Gingham Vellum – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 4½” by 3¼”
Scrap Old Olive card

 

The panel of Floral & Gingham Vellum was adhered to the larger panel of Basic White card and then to the Old Olive card layer. A length of Lost Lagoon Twine was wrapped around the panel and the whole panel was then glued to the Thick Basic White card base.

Using the Textured Notes Dies, I die cut a rectangle form the 4½” by 3¼” piece of \Basic White card.

The floral image, from the Memorable Blooms stamp set was stamped onto the die cut rectangle using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the image – Pool Party, Granny Apple Green and Old Olive.

The coloured panel was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto scrap Old Olive card, covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. I trimmed it down and added it to the card front.

A Twine bow and a trio of Rainbow Dots finished the card.

Pretty Petals Get Well Card

Here is a pretty, petals get well card made using the Pretty Petals stamp set and dies.

Colours used in this card are:

 

To recreate the pretty petals, get well card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Old Olive card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Floral & Gingham Vellum – 3½” by 2”
Old Olive card – 3½” by ⅛”
Basic White card – 4½” by 2¾”
Old Olive card – 1½” by ½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

 

The piece of vellum was adhered to the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card and the thin Old Olive strip added to the top. The panel was glued to the Pool Party card front.

Using the Countryside Corner Dies, I die cut a label from the 4½” by 2¾” panel of Basic White card.

The leafy spray was stamped on the label in Old Olive ink. I love the way this distINKtive stamp gives so much texture to the image.

I stamped the flowers in Daffodil Delight ink onto scrap Basic White card. The flowers were then die cut using the Pretty Petals Dies. The flowers were then added to the label using either Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive or Mini Glue Dots. The decorated label was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Hot Air Balloon stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the small piece of Old Olive card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. I glued it tucked under the raised label.
