Gears & Textures Card – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we have a colour combination to inspire us. I have made my card using the Gears & Textures stamp set and dies.

Colours used to make this card are:

I created the gears & textures card using the following supplies:

Summer Splash card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Misty Moonlight – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White – 4¾” by 3”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Misty Moonlight – 1¼” by ½”
Scrap Peach Pie, Summer Splash, Smoky Slate & Misty Moonlight

I stamped the irregular circle with Summer Splash ink on the Summer Splash card front, in the upper left and lower right corners.

The small screw images were then dotted around with Summer Splash and Misty Moonlight ink. The decorated panel was then glued to the Misty Moonlight layer which was then adhered to the Summer Splash card front.

A masculine card made using the Geared Up Garage stamp set and Garage Gears dies

Garage Gears for a masculine card

Today I am sharing a masculine card made using the Garage Gears dies and the Geared Up Garage stamp set. Many of us find masculine cards a challenge but this set makes it easy to make great cards for the men in your life.

Making the Garage Gears card

You will need;
Cherry Cobbler card base
Whisper White cardstock – 5⅝” by 3⅞” x 2
Basic Black 4” by 3”
Silver Foil scrap
Bermuda Bay 2” by 1½”
Whisper White strip 3½” by ½”

I began by die cutting the large group of cogs and gears using the Big Shot and the Garage Gears dies. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to add these to one of the Whisper White panels. This panel was added to the Cherry Cobbler card Base with the same adhesive.

I stamped the tool box using the Stamparatus, Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the Bermuda Bay cardstock. I wanted to get a really intense black image and the Stamparatus usually works best as you can stamp repeatedly in the same spot. The image was then die cut using the Big Shot and the same die set. It was added to the Whisper White panel on Dimensionals.

I die cut some of the individual gears and cogs using scrap Silver Foil paper and added then to the card front. I also used some of the waste foil circles as extra points of interest on the card front.

The sentiment from the Perfectly Paired Stamp set was stamped in Bermuda Bay ink onto the strip of Whisper White and trimmed it down to size. It was added on Dimensionals.
