Golden Hydrangea for the Kylie Bertucci Demo Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog.  My name is Mo Rootes from Cambridge in the UK and I am thrilled to be taking part in this blog hop with fellow demonstrators, from around the world, who are part of Kylie Bertucci’s demonstrator training program. The theme for the hop is ‘Thank You’ and I am sure you will find lots of inspiration as you hop along with us

You may be starting here or have come from another blog – either way you can find the hop list at the bottom of this post so please hop along with us today.

Colours used in today’s project are:

To recreate the gold leafed hydrangea you will need:

Flirty Flamingo – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Gold Foil – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Merry Merlot – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left and lower right corners
Very Vanilla – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left and lower right corners for the inside
Scrap Very Vanilla

Using the Stamparatus I stamped the gorgeous hydrangea image in Versamark ink onto the panel of Merry Merlot – I did this twice – then covered it in Heat and Stick Powder.

I set the powder using my Heat Tool before covering the sticky image with Gold Gilding Flakes. I used my fingers and a piece of Stampin’ Sponge to rub in the Gold Gilding Flakes, removing the excess.

The stamped layer was then added to the Gold Foil Panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and then to the card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink onto scrap Very Vanilla card and used the small tag from the Hydrangea Dies and the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to die cut the sentiment out.

I added the tag to the card front with a Mini Glue Dot and added a bow of twine from the Forever Greenery Ribbon pack.
