Sepia card for the Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop where we are sharing projects with a vintage theme. I have made a sepia effect card using the In The Moment stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the sepia card, you will need:

Pecan Pie card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Early Espresso card – 2¾” by ½”

 

Using the scripty stamp from the Quiet Meadow stamp set, I randomly stamped in full strength then in 2nd & 3rd generation Pecan Pie ink all over the Pecan Pie card front.

The large leafy image from the Botanical Layers stamp set was then stamped onto the Pecan Pie card front, twice in full strength Pecan Pie and twice in 2nd generation Pecan Pie.

The image of the girl in the window from the In The Moment stamp set was stamped onto the 3½” by 3” panel of Basic White card in Early Espresso ink.

I used the Natural Tones Blends Pens to colour in the image. The mug and the hair slide were coloured with a Moody Mauve Blends Pen.

The sentiment, from the Best Family Ever stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Early Espresso card. I covered it with Wite Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. I trimmed it down and added it to the card front.

Paper pieced watching lady for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop where were are sharing projects demonstrating the paper piecing technique. I have used the In The Moment stamp set and the Masterfully Made designer series paper.

 

Colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the waiting lady card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Masterfully Made dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Berry Burst card – 4½” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 4⅜” by 2¾”
Berry Burst card – 3 ¼” by ¾”
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – for the inside
Scrap Masterfully Made dsp

 

The large panel of Masterfully Made dsp was glued to the largest panel of Basic White card using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole panel was added to the card front using the same liquid glue.

The watching lady image was stamped onto the 4⅜” by 2¾” panel of Basic White card in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The same image was stamped again onto 3 different pieces of the lovely Masterfully Made dsp. Using Scissors I cut the dress from one pattern, The belt and cuffs from another pattern and the hat from the third pattern. These pieces were then glued in place on the original image.

Using the following Blends Pens I coloured in the rest of the image – Petal Pink for the arms, 2 of the darker shades from the Naturals Collection for the hair, Crumb Cake for the railings and Berry Burst for the wine in the glass. I used a light Pool Party Blends Pen to outline the figure and blurred the edges using a Color Lifter.

A strip of Silver Ribbon was wrapped around the panel before it was glued to the Berry Burst layer. The whole piece was mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment, from the Earthen Textures stamp set, was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Berry Burst card, I covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. The sentiment was then die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies. I added it over the ribbon using Mini Glue Dots.

A ribbon bow and a trio of Glossy Dots completed the card.

The Sail Boat Builder Punch by Stamping Up! used to make a card for a 'By the Sea' themed team challenge

Sail Boat card

The theme for the current team challenge is ‘By the Sea’ and I have made a card using the Sail Boat Builder Punch and the Stargazing designer Series Paper.

Colours in this project are:

 

To recreate the sail boat card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Stargazing dsp – 4⅛” by 4⅛”
Basic White card – 3¾” by 3¾”
Pool Party card – 4⅛” by ⅜” x 2
Scrap Pool Party, Real Red & Pebbled Path

 

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the strips of Pool Party card to the top and bottom of the piece of Stargazing dsp. The whole piece was then glued to the Thick Basic White card base.

In the Moment

I have used the pretty In the Moment stamp set and Pansy Petals designer Series Paper (dsp) to make a sweet thank you card.

Colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the In the Moment card, you will need:

Evening Evergreen card base – 8¼” by 5⅝” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Pansy Petals dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Polished Pink card – 3⅛” by 3⅛”
Basic White card – 3” by 3”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 1¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

 

I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to glue the Pansy Petals dsp to the larger Basic White panel and then to the Evening Evergreen card front.

The girl was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the square of Basic White card and the image was coloured in using the following Blends Alcohol Markers. Pale Papaya, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Soft Succulent, Gray Granite, Black and number SU300, SU400 and SU800 from the Naturals Collection. The coloured panel was then glued to the Polished Pink square.

Using Evening Evergreen ink, I stamped the sentiment from the Flowing Flowers stamp set onto the long strip of Basic White card, near the bottom. I then used Scissors to flag the end of the strip.

In The Moment, Paper Pieced for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the first Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop of 2022. Our theme is ‘Mixing the Old with the New’. I have chosen to use the to make a girl in the window thank you card using the new In the Moments stamp set and the old Party Patterns dsp for a bit of paper piecing.

Colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the In the Moment card, you will need:

Pale Papaya card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Party Patterns dsp – 5⅞” by 2”
Misty Moonlight card – 3⅝” by 3⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 3½” by 3” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 2” by 1”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner – for the inside

 

Using scissors, I flagged the end of the long strip of Party Patterns dsp and added it to the Pale papaya card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I inked up my chosen image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped onto the smaller panel of Basic White card.

The image was stamped again onto the 2 pieces of Party Patterns dsp and I fussy cut the trousers from one pattern and the top from the other pattern. Using the same liquid glue, I glued the top and trousers onto the image stamped on the Basic White panel.

Using the following Blends Pens I coloured in the image – Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Misty Moonlight, Pale Papaya, Crumb Cake & Ivory. The stamped panel was then glued to the Misty Moonlight layer and added to the card front using Dimensionals.
