A floral coloumn anniversary card made using the Thankful Garden stamp set and Everyday Arches dies from Stampin' Up!

Floral Column card – Ink Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are showcasing a project we have been working on. I have made a Floral column card using the Thankful Garden stamp set and masks and the Wildflower Birthday dsp.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the floral column card, you will need:

Berry Burst card base – 8¼” by 5¾”, scored at 2”, 4”, 6” and 8”
Wildflower Garden dsp – 5⅝” by 1⅞” x 4
Berry Burst card – 5” by 3 ¾”
Basic White card – 4¾” by 3½”
Berry Burst card – 4¾” by 3½”
Basic White card – 4½” by 3¼”
Basic White strips – 1½” by ⅜” x 8
Scrap Old Olive card

The panels of Wildflower Birthday dsp were adhered to the Berry Burst card base. The base was closed by adding glue to the ¼” tab.

From the 4¾” by 3½” panel of Basic White I die cut an arch using the Everyday Arches Dies. Using the same size die I also die cut a Berry Burst Arch from the same size piece of card stock. A larger Berry Burst and a smaller Basic White arch were also die cut using the same dies.

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Thankful Garden stamp set and Everyday Arches dies used to make a floral column anniversary card – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

The large hydrangea image was stamped onto the larger white arch using Pebbled Path ink. I coloured the image using Blending Brushes and the Thankful Garden Masks. I added Pretty in Pink ink to the flowers. The trick is to lightly add it with mask 1, a little more Pretty in Pink ink with mask 2 to layer up the colour. With mask 3 I used Berry Burst ink to add the detail.

The leaves were coloured with Soft Sea Foam, lightly with mask 1 and another layer with mask 2. The decorated arch was glued to the larger Berry Burst arch. I folded 4 of the strips of white card in half and glued them, in pairs to the card front with the folded edges up against the central scoreline, one on either side. The arch was then added on top of the tabs allowing it to float.

The sentiment from the Layers of Beauty stamp set was stamped in Berry Burst ink onto the smaller Basic White arch and the small leaf added with Soft Sea Foam ink. The decorated arch was then glued to the remaining Berry Burst arch. The whole arch was added to the back of the card on the floating wings as before.

I have chosen to share a card made for my aunt and uncles 60th Anniversary a couple of days ago and have chosen my colour palette to reflect the colours of the embroidered flowers on the flower girl dresses worn by my cousin and myself. The card was made using the Memorable Blooms stamp set along with the Unbounded Beauty and Country Woods dsp.
