Striped Abloom Card – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Stamping with Friends Blog Hop – 1

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are showcasing projects made using paper strips. I have made my card using the Mediterranean Blooms and Country Lace designer series paper (dsp) with the Everyday Arches Dies.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the striped abloom card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Night of Navy card -5¼” by 4”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¾”
Mediterranean Blooms dsp – ⅜” strips of different lengths
Country Lace dsp – ⅜” strips of different lengths
Night of Navy card – 2” by ⅜”
Scrap Basic White card

I began by applying a piece of Adhesive Sheet to the panel of Basic White card measuring 5” by 3¾”. Starting in the centre I added the strips of dsp, at an angle to the panel, butting the strips up against each other.

When the sheet was fully covered, I used the third largest die from the Everyday Arches to die cut an arch. The next size up die was used to cut an arch from the Night of Navy card. The two arches were then glued together and added to the Thick Basic White card front with glue.

I die cut them using the Party Alphabet Dies. I set the letters aside to use on another project as I was only using the negative die cut for my card.

Thick Basic White card – 5⅞” by 4⅛”
Mediterranean Blooms dsp – 5¾” by 4”
Thick Basic White card – 4⅛” by 2¾”
Mediterranean Blooms card – 4” by 2⅝”
Thick Basic White card – 4⅜” by 3¼”
