Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we have a sketch to inspire our creativity. I have made my card using the Pop-up Petals stamp set and dies with the Mixed Up Patterns dsp.
I created the Easter flowers card using the following supplies:
Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side Secret Sea – 5⅜” by 3⅝” Basic White – 5¼” by 3½” Mixed Up Patterns dsp – 4 ¾” by 1” Mixed Up Patterns dsp – 3 ½” by 1″ Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside Scrap Basic White and Mixed Up Patterns dsp
I began by adhering the 2 pieces of Mixed Up Patterns dsp to the smaller panel of Basic White card.

The word EASTER, from the Reason to Celebrate was then stamped in Secret Sea ink and the word HAPPY added next to it with Old Olive ink. The decorated panel was then glued to the Secret Sea panel and then to the Old Olive card base.

From scrap Mixed Up Patterns dsp I die cut a vase and added it on Dimensionals to the card front.

I stamped the cluster of daisies with Secret Sea onto scrap Basic White card and added colour using the infill stamps with Daffodil Delight and 3rd generation Secret Sea ink. An Old Olive Blends Pen was used to colour in the leaves. The flowers were then die cut and added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Use the same die to cut a circle using the drawn in circle as your guide. Keep the Old Olive circle to use later and add the white circle to your stash.
Fold and burnish the inner layer – start with the largest rectangle on the right and valley fold, fold the next scoreline mountain and the last mountain i.e back on itself. Apply the dsp panels to the middle two rectangles. Stamp the sentiment in the right-hand panel.

Placing the strip of Mixed Up Patterns dsp alongside the stamped sentiment, but not gluing it down, we moved it to one side and stamped the splash image in the lower left-hand corner with secret Sea ink so that part of the image will be visible when the dsp is glued down.

Today I am sharing a pretty, dsp pinwheel card inspired by fellow demonstrator Patti Dolan. I have used the pretty Mixed Patterns designer series paper (dsp) to make my card.
I created the dsp pinwheel card using the following supplies:
Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side Night of Navy card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside Mixed Up Patterns dsp – 12” by 1” Night of Navy card – 1” by 1” x 2
I lightly drew two pencil lines on one of the 5½” by 3¾” pieces of Basic White card. One 1¼” from the bottom and the other 1¼” from the left edge. This helps to line up the dsp.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Mixed Patterns designer Series paper used to make a pretty dsp pinwheel card
The piece of dsp was lined up on the bottom line where the two lines cross and glued into position. I cut off the excess and moved the strip to the left and rotated 45°. Again, I lined it up in where the lines crossed, glued it in position and trimmed off the excess.

I rotated the strip 45°, lined it up where the pencil lines crossed, glued it in position and trimmed off the excess. Finally, I rotated the dsp strip again, lined it up, glued it down and trimmed off the excess.

I cut the 1” squares of Night of Navy card, diagonally in half giving me four triangles. I added a triangle to each piece of dsp to form the pinwheel shape. At this point Patti ran the whole panel through an embossing folder……I forgot!
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Mixed Patterns designer Series paper used to make a pretty dsp pinwheel card
The sentiment, from the Artistic Leaves stamps et was stamped on the panel with Night of Navy ink and glued the panel to the layer of Night of Navy card. The whole panel was then glued to the Balmy Blue card front. A Drusy Adhesive-backed Embellishments completed the card.

Today I am sharing a sweet Spring tulip themed card made using the Sunshine & Tulips stamp set which will be available from my online store from the 6th January 2026.
To recreate the sunshine & tulips card, you will need:
Bubble Bath card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at on the long side at 4⅛” Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜” Mixed Up Patterns dsp – 5” by 3¼” Mixed Up Patterns dsp – 4” by 2½” Basic White card – 4¼” by 2¾” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside Scrap Basic White card and Mixed Up Patterns dsp
The larger panel of Mixed Up Patterns dsp was glued to the piece of Basic White measuring 5⅛” by 3⅜ and a length of Bubble Bath Faux Linen Ribbon was wrapped around the panel before it was glued onto the Bubble Bath card front.

From the 4¼” by 2¾” piece of Basic White card I die cut a decorative rectangle using the Textured Notes Dies.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Sunshine & Tulips stamp set used with the Mixed Up Patterns designer series paper to make a pretty Spring themed floral card
I stamped the double petal image three times onto the die cut label with Strawberry Slush ink. The centres of the tulips were then stamped with Bubble Bath ink.

Using a dark Granny Apple Green Blends Pen I drew in three stems. The leaves were added using Granny Apple Green ink and the stamped rectangle was then glued to the smaller panel of Mixed Up Patterns dsp. The whole piece was mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Sunshine & Tulips stamp set used with the Mixed Up Patterns designer series paper to make a pretty Spring themed floral card
The sentiment was stamped with Granny Apple Green ink onto a scrap of Basic White card and trimmed down with Scissors. I adhered the sentiment to a scrap of dsp and trimmed it out leaving a small border before gluing it to the card front.
