To recreate the mountain view card, you will need:
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” Smoky Slate card – 4½” by 2¼” Secret Sea card – 3½” by 2” Shaded Spruce card – 4½” by 1½” Basic White card – 3¼” by 1¼”
Using the Everyday Arches dies, I die cut an arch from the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card. I set the die cut arch to one side to use in another project. The remaining negative panel was placed in the centre of the Thick Basic card front. Using a pencil, I marked the position of all 4 corners. This will guide me when I start stamping.

The clouds were stamped in Cloud Cover ink from one side of the card front to the other below the pencil lines. I continued adding clouds until I had covered ½ the card.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with the Everyday Arches dies to make a mountain view card
I die cut the following pieces using the Scenic Adventures Dies – the mountain from the Smoky Slate and Secret Sea panels. The shrubby banks from the piece of Shaded Spruce card and the flowers from the strip of Basic White card.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with the Everyday Arches dies to make a mountain view card
Using a Sponge Dauber, I added smoky Slate ink to the Smoky Slate mountain and adhered the Secret Sea mountain behind, trimming off the bits that stick out. The shrubby layer was then glued in front of the mountain.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with the Everyday Arches dies to make a mountain view card
The ‘water’ image was stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink from one side of the card front to the other above the pencil lines. I needed to stamp about 3 lines of water. The die cut piece was then glued above the stamped water to the card front.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with the Everyday Arches dies to make a mountain view card
I used the dark Granny Apple Green Blends Pen to colour in the leaves and stems of the flowers. The flowers were then coloured using the light Poppy Parade Blends Pen. The flowers were then adhered to the card front.
The negative arch was then added to the front of the card on Dimensionals to frame the scene.
A trio of Iridescent Pearls completed the card.

Today I am sharing the cards made for my September 2025 classes using the Scenic Adventures stamp set and dies. For my September classes I always try to sneak in a Christmas card design – some of my ladies think this is too early!
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – circle die cut from the upper ⅓ using the Spotlight on Nature Dies Basic White – 4⅛” by 3⅝” Shaded Spruce – 3” by 1¾” Basic White – 3” by ¾” – label die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies Blueberry Bushel – 3” by ¼”
We punched out a mask from a Post It Note and used a 1” Circle Punch and added it to the upper part of the 4⅛” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card with the 4⅛” side going up and down.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set and co-ordinating Dies used to make 3 scenic, mountain view cards including a Christmas card
Using a Blending Brush, we inked the upper ⅔’s of the Basic White panel with lightly applied Blueberry Bushel ink. Using the same technique and a different Blending Brush we added Smoky Slate ink to the bottom ⅓ of the panel and the mask was removed. I used the ‘water image stamp to add texture to the ground with 2nd generation Smoky Slate ink.

The trees were stamped to the right and left of the inked panel in 1st and 2nd generation Shaded Spruce ink. The die cut window panel was then glued to the stamped layer. You could add it with Dimensionals, but I didn’t for this class. The whole panel was then added to the Thick Basic White card front on Dimensionals.

From the Shaded Spruce card I die cut the double trees and added then to the card front.

The sentiment, from the Shepherds Care stamp set was stamped on the die cut label with Blueberry Bushel ink. I added the strip of Blueberry Bushel card behind the label and glued it to the card front.

The double trees were added, slightly overhanging the raised panel.

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing background techniques. I am sharing a piece of home décor created using ink blending and inspired by a card made by Michelle Zindorf.
To recreate the inked background mountain scene, you will need:
Basic White card – 6½” by 4½” Frame – 7” by 5”
Using a 2½” Circle Punch from my stash I punched a mask from a Post It Note. I placed the mask on the Basic White panel, slightly above the middle.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with tan ink blending technique to create a Mountain Scene piece of home decor – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
I used a Blending Brush to add Pool Party ink to the entire panel with the mask in position. Next, I added Summer Splash ink to the top and bottom of the panel leaving a rim around the mask and a strip of plain Pool Party across the masked area from the middle to near the bottom of the mask.
Azure Afternoon ink was then added, again leaving some of the Pool Party and Summer Splash ink visible and finished with a covering of Night of Navy ink concentrating in all four corners, along the top and the bottom. The mask was then removed.

A piece of Post It note was then placed about ⅓ of the way up the moon from the bottom. A second Post It note was then torn into a jagged pattern before being applied to the top ⅓ of the moon. I used Gorgeous Grape ink and a Blending Brush to create mountains in the gap between the Post It notes. The jagged mask was then removed.
With the straight Post It note still in position I stamped a tree onto the inked panel with the bottom of the tree on the mask. I repeated this step to add the remaining trees before removing the Post It note.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with tan ink blending technique to create a Mountain Scene piece of home decor – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
I placed a piece of cellophane over the stamped trees with a sliver of the bottom showing. I inked up the trees again, stamped off on scrap paper and stamped a tree below and at the same approximate height as the full-strength tree above to provide a reflection. The cellophane was then removed.
I lightly added a little Pool Party ink to the ‘moon’ to make it less blindingly white and stamped the dotty image from the Coneflower Celebration stamp set with Whisper White ink to add stars to the sky. A white gel pen added texture to the wate.

The picture was now complete and ready to be framed, or it could be trimmed down and made into a card.

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are showcasing a project we have been working on. I am sharing a mountain horizon scene made using the Horizon Dies.
To recreate the mountain horizon scene, you will need:
Garden Green card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” Balmy Blue card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” Basic White card – 5” by 3½” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” Scrap Basic White, Balmy Blue, Highland Heather & Garden Green
Using Blending Brushes, I added Balmy Blue ink to the top of the smaller Basic White layer and Sahara Sand ink to the bottom of the layer.

From scrap Highland Heather card, I die cut the mountain range using the Horizon Dies. Using the same des I cut the detailed snowy mountain tops and glued them together. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to glue this piece to the inked panel.

The water was cut from scrap Balmy Blue card and added below the mountains with the same glue.
