Christmas Star card – Christmas Stampathon

Today I am sharing the cards made for this month’s Christmas Stampathon where our theme is ’texture’. I have made my cards using the Ornamental Christmas stamp set and dies and the Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder.

Colours used to make these cards are:

I created the Christmas Star card using the following supplies:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Real Red – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3¾”
Red Foil – 3½” by 3”
Basic Black – 1¾” by ¼”
Scrap Basic White

I ran the 5⅜” by 3¾” panel of Basic White card through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder. A length of Open Weave Trim was wrapped around and secured on the back with Sellotape.

A pretty hexagonal gift bag made using the Ornamental Christmas stamp set and dies and the Traditions of Christmas dsp

Ornamental Hexagon Gift Bag

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing Holiday packaging. I have made a pretty, hexagon, gift bag to hold a necklace for my daughter. I saw this sweet box on Youtube made by Crafty Karen designs

Colours used to make the ornamental hexagon gift bag are:

To recreate the ornamental hexagon gift bag, you will need:

Balmy Blue card – 8½” by 5½”
Traditions of Christmas dsp – 3⅜” by 1⅞” x 2
Scrap Basic White

Using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I scored the piece of Balmy Blue at 2”, 4”, 6” and 8”. I rotated the card 90° and scored again on the short side at 2”.

I placed the scored Balmy Blue card onto the Silicon Craft Sheet and used the scoring tool to score an X, from corner to corner in the 2nd and 4th rectangles – see template. I then scored from the centre of the X to the top of the same rectangles.

I added the panels of dsp to the unscored rectangles and folded and burnished on all the full lines. Using my fingers I lightly manipulated the X’s scores.

Using scissors, I cut off the small rectangle from the ½” tab and wedged the longer side. I then cut up each of the 4 square bottom tabs, removing the score line.
