A shaker card made for a ruby wedding anniversary using the Party Alphabet Dies, Blooming Phrases stamp set and the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder by Stampin' Up!

Ruby Wedding Card

I made this shaker card to celebrate the ruby wedding anniversary (40th) of my brother and sister-in-law which is today. I made it using the new Party Alphabet dies and the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the ruby anniversary card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card – 8” by 7” scored at 3½”
Season of Elegance dsp – 7¾” by 3¼”
Thick Basic White card – 7½” by 3”
Window Sheet – 7⅜” by 2⅞” x 2
Secret Sea card – 3” by ½”

I lined the letters RUBY on the 7½” by 3” panel of Thick Basic White card making sure to get them as straight as possible. I held them in position with small pieces of Washi Tape from my stash and die cut them out. I removed the letters and set them aside as I did not need them for this card, but I did need the inner pieces from the R and the B.

The negative die cut panel and the inner pieces from the R and B were then embossed using the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. On the back of the embossed piece, I added one of the pieces of Window Sheet using Mini Glue Dots and the inner pieces were added in the correct places with Mini Glue Dots.

With the whole piece face down, I applied Foam Adhesive Strips around all 4 sides, between all the letters and supporting all the pieces which intrude into the letters. I dropped a pinch of sequins into each letter. I ran a bead of Multipurpose Liquid on top of the Adhesive Strip and added the second piece of Window Sheet overtop to seal the sequins in.

The whole piece was then added to the layer of Season of Elegance dsp before being added to the Thick Basic White card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Blooming Phrases stamp set with Versamark ink onto the small piece of Secret Sea card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool before adding it to the card front using Mini Glue Dots.

Trusty Tools New Home Card

Here is another new home card made using the letters left from the card I blogged about on the 27thJune 2025. I made this card using the Party Alphabet dies, the Trusty Toolbox stamp set and the Mediterranean Blooms dsp.

To recreate the trusty tools new home card, you will need:

Basic Beige card base – 7¾” by 7” scored at 3½”
Mediterranean Blooms dsp – 7¼” by 3”
Basic White card – 7½” by 3¼” for the inside
Scrap Basic White and Basic Beige card

I randomly stamped some of the tools, from the Trusty Tools stamp set in Basic Beige ink onto the Basic Beige card front.

Using the Party Alphabet Dies I die cut 3 each of the letter spelling HOME. These were then glued together one on top of the other and lastly, I added the letters die cut from the Mediterranean Blooms dsp. This gave each letter dimension.

From scrap Basic I lined the letters spelling ‘HOME’ up on the 7¼” by 3” panel of Mediterranean Blooms dsp, taking care to get the letters straight and evenly spaced. I die cut them using the Party Alphabet Dies. I set the letters aside to use on another project as I was only using the negative die cut for my card.

2 pretty cards made using the Party Alphabet Dies, Ocean Front stamp set and Floral Impressions dsp from Stampin' Up!

Party Alphabet Card

Today I am sharing 2 cards inspired by projects we made at our recent team training event using the new Party Alphabet Dies and the Floral Impressions dsp. The original idea came from Alison Okamitsu.

Colours in these cards are:

Negative Space Card

Thick Basic White card – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Floral Impressions dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Floral Impressions dsp – 3” by 2”
Floral Impressions dsp – 3” by 1¼”
Basic White card – 2” by 1”

I lined up the letters H and i on the larger panel of Floral Impressions dsp and die cut the letters out using the Party Alphabet Dies. The letters were set to one side to be used in my 2nd card.

The panel of dsp was then placed in position on the Thick Basic White card front. I used a pencil to mark the negative space where the letters had been. The dsp was then set to one side.

The sentiment, from the Ocean Friends stamp set (still available in my online store) was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink and die cut using the Textured Notes Dies. I die cut it twice to make the label shorter. I added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

A trio of Adhesive-backed Sequins completed the card.
