Here is a pretty card inspired by one I saw made by Wendy Lee of Creativeleeyours. I used the same Scenic Adventure stamp set but altered the measurements to accommodate our A4 cardstock.
To recreate the staggered line of trees card, you will need:
Cloud Cover card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” Pretty Peacock card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” Balmy Blue card – 3⅛” by 1” Cloud Cover card – 3⅛” by ½” Pool Party card – 3” by ⅞” Coastal Cabana card – 2⅞” by ¾” Summer Splash card – 2⅞” by ⅝” Lost lagoon card – 3” by ¾” Basic White card – 5 ¼” by ⅜” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
The six pieces of coloured card were laid the out on my grid paper until I was happy with the positioning. They were originally longer, and some were wider, and I cut them down as I moved them around.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventure stamp set and strips of card to make a pretty staggered line of trees themed card
With the strips butted up to each other I stamped the trees across the layers with Pretty Peacock ink.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventure stamp set and strips of card to make a pretty staggered line of trees themed card
I stamped strips were placed onto the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card, taking time to match up the stamping. Some were adhered down with glue and others with Dimensionals. The whole panel was then glued to the Pretty Peacock panel and then to the Cloud Cover card front.

Today my husband and I celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary and I have made him an Aurora themed anniversary card as he loves adventure and the great outdoors. I used the new Light & Wonder Dies and the Lights of Aurora designer Series Paper.
To recreate the aurora anniversary card, you will need:
Secret Sea card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside Lights of Aurora dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝” Secret Sea card – 4” by 3¼” Lost Lagoon card – 4” by 1¾”
The panel of Lights of Aurora dsp was adhered to one of the Basic White panels.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventure set, Light & Wonder dies and Lights of Aurora dsp used to make a lovely Anniversary card
From the Secret Sea card, I die cut the small row of trees using the Light & Wonder Dies and glued the piece to the dsp panel. The excess was trimmed off.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventure set, Light & Wonder dies and Lights of Aurora dsp used to make a lovely Anniversary card
Using the same set of dies I cut the ‘lake’ from the piece of Lost Lagoon card. I stamped all over this piece with 2nd generation Lost Lagoon ink to give the illusion of water. This panel was then adhered to the panel and the excess trimmed off.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventure set, Light & Wonder dies and Lights of Aurora dsp used to make a lovely Anniversary card
The sentiment was stamped in Secret Sea ink in the lower right corner.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventure set, Light & Wonder dies and Lights of Aurora dsp used to make a lovely Anniversary card
I added the whole piece to the Secret Sea card front.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventure set, Light & Wonder dies and Lights of Aurora dsp used to make a lovely Anniversary card
Using watered down Whisper White ink from a refill bottle and a Wink of Stella brush I added some ‘snow’ to the tree line.
I really hope my husband likes the card.

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing Autumn themed projects. I have made my card using the Loveliest Tree stamp set and a shredded paper technique.
To recreate the tree in Autumn card, you will need:
Basic Beige card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Early Espresso card – 4⅛” by 3⅛” Basic White card – 4” by 3” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside Strips of Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green & Pecan Pie – 1” by ⅜” – one of each colour Scrap Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green & Pecan Pie

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Loveliest Tree and Scenic Adventures stamp sets used with a torn paper technique to make an Autumn themed card
Using Scissors I roughed up the side of scraps of Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green and Pecan Pie card until I had a pile of fluff.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Loveliest Tree and Scenic Adventures stamp sets used with a torn paper technique to make an Autumn themed card
I covered the canopy of the tree with a light coating of Multipurpose liquid Adhesive and patted the ‘fluff’ onto the sticky area and set it aside to dry.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Loveliest Tree and Scenic Adventures stamp sets used with a torn paper technique to make an Autumn themed card
Colour was then added to the sky and the ground using Blending Brushes and Blueberry Bushel and Granny Apple Green ink. To give more texture to ground I stamped the ‘water’ image from the Scenic Adventure stamp set using second generation Granny Apple Green ink. The whole panel was then glued to the Early Espresso panel which was then added to the Basic Beige card front.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Loveliest Tree and Scenic Adventures stamp sets used with a torn paper technique to make an Autumn themed card
The trio of ⅜” strips were tucked in under the raised panel and the sentiment, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was then stamped with Early Espresso ink.

To recreate the mountain view card, you will need:
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” Smoky Slate card – 4½” by 2¼” Secret Sea card – 3½” by 2” Shaded Spruce card – 4½” by 1½” Basic White card – 3¼” by 1¼”
Using the Everyday Arches dies, I die cut an arch from the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card. I set the die cut arch to one side to use in another project. The remaining negative panel was placed in the centre of the Thick Basic card front. Using a pencil, I marked the position of all 4 corners. This will guide me when I start stamping.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with the Everyday Arches dies to make a mountain view card
The clouds were stamped in Cloud Cover ink from one side of the card front to the other below the pencil lines. I continued adding clouds until I had covered ½ the card.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with the Everyday Arches dies to make a mountain view card
I die cut the following pieces using the Scenic Adventures Dies – the mountain from the Smoky Slate and Secret Sea panels. The shrubby banks from the piece of Shaded Spruce card and the flowers from the strip of Basic White card.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with the Everyday Arches dies to make a mountain view card
Using a Sponge Dauber, I added smoky Slate ink to the Smoky Slate mountain and adhered the Secret Sea mountain behind, trimming off the bits that stick out. The shrubby layer was then glued in front of the mountain.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with the Everyday Arches dies to make a mountain view card
The ‘water’ image was stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink from one side of the card front to the other above the pencil lines. I needed to stamp about 3 lines of water. The die cut piece was then glued above the stamped water to the card front.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with the Everyday Arches dies to make a mountain view card
I used the dark Granny Apple Green Blends Pen to colour in the leaves and stems of the flowers. The flowers were then coloured using the light Poppy Parade Blends Pen. The flowers were then adhered to the card front.
The negative arch was then added to the front of the card on Dimensionals to frame the scene.
A trio of Iridescent Pearls completed the card.

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing background techniques. I am sharing a piece of home décor created using ink blending and inspired by a card made by Michelle Zindorf.
To recreate the inked background mountain scene, you will need:
Basic White card – 6½” by 4½” Frame – 7” by 5”
Using a 2½” Circle Punch from my stash I punched a mask from a Post It Note. I placed the mask on the Basic White panel, slightly above the middle.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with tan ink blending technique to create a Mountain Scene piece of home decor – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
I used a Blending Brush to add Pool Party ink to the entire panel with the mask in position. Next, I added Summer Splash ink to the top and bottom of the panel leaving a rim around the mask and a strip of plain Pool Party across the masked area from the middle to near the bottom of the mask.
Azure Afternoon ink was then added, again leaving some of the Pool Party and Summer Splash ink visible and finished with a covering of Night of Navy ink concentrating in all four corners, along the top and the bottom. The mask was then removed.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with tan ink blending technique to create a Mountain Scene piece of home decor – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
A piece of Post It note was then placed about ⅓ of the way up the moon from the bottom. A second Post It note was then torn into a jagged pattern before being applied to the top ⅓ of the moon. I used Gorgeous Grape ink and a Blending Brush to create mountains in the gap between the Post It notes. The jagged mask was then removed.
With the straight Post It note still in position I stamped a tree onto the inked panel with the bottom of the tree on the mask. I repeated this step to add the remaining trees before removing the Post It note.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with tan ink blending technique to create a Mountain Scene piece of home decor – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
I placed a piece of cellophane over the stamped trees with a sliver of the bottom showing. I inked up the trees again, stamped off on scrap paper and stamped a tree below and at the same approximate height as the full-strength tree above to provide a reflection. The cellophane was then removed.
I lightly added a little Pool Party ink to the ‘moon’ to make it less blindingly white and stamped the dotty image from the Coneflower Celebration stamp set with Whisper White ink to add stars to the sky. A white gel pen added texture to the wate.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with tan ink blending technique to create a Mountain Scene piece of home decor – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
The picture was now complete and ready to be framed, or it could be trimmed down and made into a card.

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on recently. I have chosen to share a card made using the Cheers & Sips stamp set and Dies.
To recreate the herby cocktail card, you will need:
Gray Granite card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Gray Granite card – 5¾” by 3¾” Strawberry Slush card – 5¼” by 3¼” Basic White card – 5” by 2½” Basic White card- 5½” by 3¾” for the inside Scrap Basic White, Basic Black and Fluid 100 card
I embossed the panel of Gray Granite card using the Corrugated Embossing Folder and set it to one side.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Cheers & Sips stamp set and dies used with the Nested Essentials dies used to make a water-coloured herby cocktail card
Using the Nested Essentials Dies I die cut two labels, the larger from the Strawberry Slush card and the smaller from the 5” by 2½” piece of Basic White card. Glued the Strawberry Slush label to the embossed Gray Granite layer and wrapped a length of White Baker’s Twine around the whole piece and glued the panel to the Gray Granite card front.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Cheers & Sips stamp set and dies used with the Nested Essentials dies used to make a water-coloured herby cocktail card
Using the ‘ground’ image from the Scenic Adventure stamp set, I stamped in Gray Granite ink along the bottom of the Basic White label. This was then glued to the Strawberry Slush label.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Cheers & Sips stamp set and dies used with the Nested Essentials dies used to make a water-coloured herby cocktail card
I die cut a glass from scrap Fluid 100 card using the Cheers & Sips Dies. Using a Water Painter I added water to the die cut piece then dropped on colour, first Peach Pie then Strawberry Slush. Love the ombre look I achieved. I added the glass to the card front on Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Cheers & Sips stamp set and dies used with the Nested Essentials dies used to make a water-coloured herby cocktail card
On scrap Basic White card, I stamped a selection of leaves onto scrap Basic White card. I coloured the leaves using the following Blends Pens – Peach Pie, Lemon Lime Twist & Mossy Meadow. I die cut the leaves and tucked them behind the glass using Mini Glue Dots or Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Cheers & Sips stamp set and dies used with the Nested Essentials dies used to make a water-coloured herby cocktail card
The sentiment was stamped on scrap Basic Black card with Versamark ink, covered with White Embossing Powder and set using my Heat Tools. I trimmed it down before adding it to the card front.
A twine bow and a trio of Starburst Sequins completed the card.
Please hop on to see what my crafty friends have been creating recently.

To order any supplies click on the “shop online” button at the top of the page. Alternatively, contact me and I would be happy to place an order for you. To join my team either click on the link above or click on the contact me button above and I will contact you with more information.
