Basic White card – 4¾” by 2⅞”
Misty Moonlight card – 4⅝” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 4¾” by 3”

Using the Perennial Postage Dies I die cut a rectangle from the 4¾” by 3” piece of Basic White card. I wanted the rectangle to be narrower so die cut it twice to make it smaller.

I used a Blending Brush and the torn edge of some printer paper to add some snowbanks to the bottom of the rectangle. A punched Post It Note 1” Circle was added to the die cut rectangle and Misty Moonlight ink was brushed on to create the ‘sky’. The Post It Note mask was then removed.

Using Shaded Spruce ink, first and second generation, I stamped the medium tree then the smallest tree onto the inked rectangle. The panel was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Bauble Blooms stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Misty Moonlight card. I covered it was Silver Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. I tucked the piece under the bottom edge of the decorated piece on the card front.

A ribbon bow and a trio of silver sequins completed the card.

Please hop on to see what my crafty friends have been using lately.

A lovely pop up gift card holder made using the gorgeous Notes & Totes Dies and Friends of the Ocean designer series paper from Stampin' Up!

Notes & Totes Pop Up Gift Card Holder

Today’s pop up gift card holder is made using the adorable Notes and Totes Dies which will be available on the 6th May in my online store. I have used the dies with the lovely Friends of the Ocean dsp which is sadly retiring. This card was inspired by a video made by Becca of Becca’s Kreations

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the notes & totes pop up gift card holder, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Friends of the Ocean dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3½”
Scrap Friends of the Ocean dsp and Basic White card

The large panel of Friends of the Ocean dsp was glued to Thick Basic White card front.

I die cut a stitched circle from the square of Basic White card using the Stylish Shapes Dies. The ‘ground’ image, from the Scenic Adventures stamp set was stamped along the bottom using Crumb Cake ink.  I cut off one side of the circle and adhered it to the card front.

Using the Notes & Dotes Dies I die cut the bag, twice from scrap Friends of the Ocean dsp. I die cut 2 handles from scrap Basic White card and glued one to each of the die cut bags. I trimmed the tabs off the bottom of each die cut bag and then trimmed the bottom tabs in half. The remaining scorelines were folded and burnished and the 2 outer tabs of each bag were adhered together to close the bag. I applied glue to each of the tabs at the base of the bag positioned it against the scoreline on the inside of the card front and closed the bag to secure it in position.

I folded the two side flaps of the bag inwards and glued them down. The tab on the bottom of the die cut bag was snipped off the bottom also adhered down. The 2 white straps were then adhered to the front of the die cut bag along the line of the seam. I had die cut these on card with some adhesive sheet applied to the reverse to make this easier. I then adhered the bottom piece and the bag handle using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The bag was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.
