Today I am sharing the cards made for my September 2025 classes using the Scenic Adventures stamp set and dies. For my September classes I always try to sneak in a Christmas card design – some of my ladies think this is too early!
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – circle die cut from the upper ⅓ using the Spotlight on Nature Dies Basic White – 4⅛” by 3⅝” Shaded Spruce – 3” by 1¾” Basic White – 3” by ¾” – label die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies Blueberry Bushel – 3” by ¼”
We punched out a mask from a Post It Note and used a 1” Circle Punch and added it to the upper part of the 4⅛” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card with the 4⅛” side going up and down.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set and co-ordinating Dies used to make 3 scenic, mountain view cards including a Christmas card
Using a Blending Brush, we inked the upper ⅔’s of the Basic White panel with lightly applied Blueberry Bushel ink. Using the same technique and a different Blending Brush we added Smoky Slate ink to the bottom ⅓ of the panel and the mask was removed. I used the ‘water image stamp to add texture to the ground with 2nd generation Smoky Slate ink.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set and co-ordinating Dies used to make 3 scenic, mountain view cards including a Christmas card
The trees were stamped to the right and left of the inked panel in 1st and 2nd generation Shaded Spruce ink. The die cut window panel was then glued to the stamped layer. You could add it with Dimensionals, but I didn’t for this class. The whole panel was then added to the Thick Basic White card front on Dimensionals.

From the Shaded Spruce card I die cut the double trees and added then to the card front.

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we are being inspired by the sounds of the season. I have been inspired by the Christmas carol – Oh, little Town of Bethlehem – and have made an essentially monochromatic card using the Shepherd’s Care stamp set.
To recreate the sounds of the season card, you will need:
Basic Beige card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Gold Foil – 5½” by 3¾” Early Espresso card – 5¼” by 3½” Season of Elegance dsp – 5⅛” by 3⅜” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
The image of the shepherd with lambs was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto the panel of Season of Elegance dsp. I added the village using the same ink.

A sprinkling of tiny stars were added using the same ink and embossed with the same powder.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Shepherd’s Card stamp set used to make a monochromatic Christmas card for the the sounds of the season – Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop
I used the Ivory and Crumb Cake Blends Pens to colour in the shepherd’s head dress and added a little Boho Blue to colour the belt and the head band.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The Shepherd’s Card stamp set used to make a monochromatic Christmas card for the the sounds of the season – Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop
The coloured dsp was glued to the Early Espresso layer and then to the Gold Foil panel.

The whole panel was then added to the Basic Beige card front. On looking at the card again it would also work for – While Shepherd’s watch their Folks By Night.
Please hop on to share the seasonal inspiration provided by my crafty friends. Next up is the lovely Leonie Stuart

www.crafty-rootes.com – The beautiful Shepherd’s Care stamp set used to make a lovely Christmas card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
The large star and the scattering of smaller stars were stamped in Daffodil Delight ink. Using a Blending Brush I added Misty Moonlight ink all around the edges of the panel.
I stamped the sentiment, from the Peaceful Seasons stamp set in Night of Navy ink at the bottom of the panel and sadly managed not to stamp it straight………so I stamped it again on scrap Basic White card which I then die cut using the Greetings of the Season Dies.
www.crafty-rootes.com – The beautiful Shepherd’s Care stamp set used to make a lovely Christmas card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
I inked around the edges of the die cut greeting and adhered the die cut to the stamped panel trimming off the excess.
The decorated panel was then glued to the Daffodil Delight layer which was then mounted onto the Night of Navy card front on Dimensionals.
