Stamping with Friends Blog Hop – 1

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing seasonal or holiday projects. I am sharing the cards I designed for my November classes using the adorable Festive Friends stamp set and Dies.

Colours used to make these cards are:

Snowman That-a-Way card

Thick Basic White card base – 11½” by 4” scored at 5¾”
Balmy Blue card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White – 5⅞” by ½”
Scrap Basic White & Granny Apple Green card

Using Balmy Blue ink, we stamped the Falling Snow image onto the panel of Balmy Blue card and set aside to dry.

With a pencil, lightly mark the card front at 2” on the short side then cut from the 2” mark to the centre scoreline on the right. Repeat the cut on the left side to leave a pointed card front. Place the 2 cut pieces together, face down, to form a triangle and use Sellotape to adhere the pieces together.

With a pencil, lightly mark the stamped Balmy Blue panel at 1⅞” on the short side then cut from the mark to the centre scoreline on the right, repeat the cut on the left side. This will give 1 large triangle and 2 small triangles.

Open the card and place the unattached triangle on the inside with the bottom of the triangle lined up with the right-hand end of the card, dsp side facing upwards. Add glue where the panels over-lap and close the card to adhere together.

Stamp the snowman with Secret Sea ink on scrap Basic White card and die cut using the Festive Friends Dies. We coloured him in using the following Blends Pens – Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight and Timid Tiger.

Scrap Whisper White, Soft Suede & Real Red cardstock

I folded and burnished the score lines of the Thick Whisper White cards base and glued the panels of Let It Snow dsp to it before setting it to one side.

I folded and burnished the scorelines of the Coastal Cabana piece and added the Real Red panels using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped one of the sweet snowmen on the larger Whisper White panel using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Using the Pool Party ink pad and a sponge I added colour to the panel around the nowman. I stamped the snowflakes from the same  stamp set in Pool Party  ink. The panel was the added to the largest Real Red panel.

I used the Make a Difference stamp set to stamp the ‘Daughter and family’ – I love how easy it is to line up the letters. I trimmed around the stamped words, added the cut out piece to a piece of scrap Real Red  cardstock and trimmed around the edge. The words were then adhered to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Using the Snowman Builder Punch I punched a snowman from the same dsp stack and adhered it to one of the smaller Whisper White panels. I punched a hat from the same dsp and added it to the snowman.  This panel was then glued to the last Whisper White panel.

The sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set was stamped in Real Red ink on the remaining Whisper White layer and adhered to the middle Real Red panel.

I added some retired Black Rhinestones for the snowmans buttons and covered the snowman in Clear Wink of Stella. Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I added a scattering of Snowflake Sequins and spritzed the card front with more Wink of Stella to increase the shimmery effect. To complete the card I covered the ‘snowballs’ with dits of Shimmery Crystal Effects

Such a pretty card, I do hope you and my lovely friend like it.
