An adorable sweet baby boy card made using the Cutest Onsie stamp set and co-ordinating dies and the Beautiful Bokeh dsp from Stampin' Up!

Sweet Baby Boy Card

My daughter’s best friends have recently had their first baby; an adorable little boy and I made this sweet card to send to them using the Cutest Onsie stamp set and dies.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the sweet baby boy card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Summer Splash card – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Summer Splash card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Secret Sea card – 1⅜” by ⅜”
Scrap Silver Foil, Beautiful Bokeh dsp and 2024 – 2026 In Color dsp

Using Balmy Blue ink I stamped the cloud image from the Cutest Onsie stamp set in the upper left and lower right of the Balmy Blue card front.

The sweet onsie was stamped on 2 scraps of designer series paper (dsp). These were the die cut using the Cutest Onsie dies. I also die cut 2 coat hangers from scrap Silver Foil. The onsies were then added to the card front, one on Dimensionals and the other adhered down flat.

A scary Halloween card made using the Sweetest Star stamp set and the Sweetest Star Punch for the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop

A Scary Boo card – Stamping Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop. Our theme this month is ‘Ghosts and Goblins’ which is always a bit of a challenge for me as Halloween is not a big deal in the UK so I don’t have any Halloween stamp set. After a bit of thought I settled on using the Sweetest Star stamp set to make my card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the scary boo card, you will need:

Peach Pie card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Old Olive card – 5¼” by 1¾”
Basic White card – 4” by 3¼”
Gorgeous Grape card – 3⅞” by 3⅛”
Basic White card – 3¾” by 3”
Old Olive card – 3” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Gorgeous Grape and Basic Black card

The ‘gingerbread’ stamp from the Sweetest Star stamp set was stamped all over the Peach Pie card front with Peach Pie ink. I flagged the end of the strip of Old Olive card and added it to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I swiped the Peach Pie ink pad over the debossed side to add colour to the panel before adhering it to the Gorgeous Grape panel and then to the 4” by 3¼” piece of Basic White card. This was then glued to the card front.

I stamped the ‘gingerbread’ image with Versamark ink onto the piece of Old Olive card, covered it with White Embossing Powder before setting it with Heat Tool. The image was then punched out using the Sweetest Star Punch. Using a Blending Brush, I added Old Olive ink to the edges of the punched-out image before adding the image to the card front on Dimensionals.

A beautiful stained-glass heart card made for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop using the Friends For Life Dies and the Something Fancy stamp from Stampin' Up!

Stained-Glass Heart Card – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Share It Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing a project we have been working on recently. I have chosen to share a congratulations card designed, using the Friends For Life Dies and the stained glass window technique, to celebrate the wedding of my daughter and son in laws friends. I was inspired by a card made by Susan Wong for the Crafty Carrot……..

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the stained-glass heart card, you will need:

Azure Afternoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Shy Shamrock card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3 ½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Azure Afternoon card – 2½” by ¼”
Silver Foil – 3¼” by 3”
Scrap Basic White card

I ran the 5¼” by 3½” piece of Basic White card through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the So Swirly Embossing Folder. The embossed panel was then glued to the Shy Shamrock layer and then to the Azure Afternoon card base.

www.crafty-rootes.com – The Friends For Life Dies used with the Something Fancy stamp set to make beautiful stained-glass heart card for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Using the Friends For Life Dies I die cut a solid heart from scrap Basic White card. The outline heart and the detailed heart were then placed onto the scrap Basic White card and secured together with washi tape from my stash. I then ran them through the Cut & Emboss Machine 4 times, cutting the heart apart from the outline each time. The outlines were set aside as I didn’t need them for this project.

I squirted some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive onto the Silicon craft sheet and used a piece of sponge from my stash to add the glue to the back of one of the detailed hearts which was then glued onto the solid white heart. I stacked two more detailed hearts on top.

www.crafty-rootes.com – The Friends For Life Dies used with the Something Fancy stamp set to make beautiful stained-glass heart card for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

The following Blends Pens were then used to colour in all the negative spaces – Azure Afternoon, Boho Blue, Blueberry Bushel, Misty Moonlight, Shy Shamrock and Shaded Spruce.

Then, I filled each negative space with a puddle of Fine Tip Glue and set it aside to dry for about 30 minutes. When the glue was dry and glossy, I glued the final white detailed heart in place hiding the messy edges created when I was colouring in the heart.

I die cut one last detailed heart from Silver Foil and glued it on top.

The sentiment, from the Something Fancy stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Azure Afternoon. I covered it with Black Embossing Powder and heat set it. The ends were angled before the strip was added to the card front. A scattering of Iridescent Pearls completed the card.

Please hop on to share the inspiration provided by my stamping friends.
