An orange themed card made using the gorgeous Tractor & Co stamp set from Stampin' Up! used for a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge

Abundance of Pumpkins Card – Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we are working with a Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. I have chosen a diagonal line featuring ‘orange, layers and torn’. Now orange is a colour I rarely use so this challenge was way out of my comfort zone. I made my card using the adorable Tractor & Co bundle to make my card.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the abundance of pumpkins card, you will need:

Cajun Craze card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Timid Tiger card – 5⅞” by 2¼”
Basic White card – 5⅞” by 1¼”
Pumpkin Pie Card – 4½” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 4⅜” by 2⅝”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

I tore the long edges of the 5⅞” by 2¼” piece of Timid Tiger and the 5⅞” by 1¼” piece of Basic White card. Using a Sponge Dauber I added Cajun Craze ink to the torn edge of the Timid Tiger piece and then adhered the two pieces together. The whole piece was trimmed down to 5¾” before it was glued to the Cajun Craze card base.

On scrap Basic White card, I stamped two trailers using Cajun Craze ink. Four small wheels were then stamped in Secret Sea ink, and everything was then die cut using the Tractor & Co Dies. The wheels were glued to the trailers.

The pumpkin image was inked up with Pumpkin Pie ink and Cajun Craze ink added to the bottom with a Sponge Dauber before the image was stamped on scrap Basic White card, this step was repeated. The pumpkins were then die cut and added behind the trailers.

A pretty thank you card made using the The Spring Corners dies and stamp set, Embossing paste and re-inkers from Stampin' Up!

Embossed Spring Corner card – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday where we are showcasing projects made using Embossing Paste. I have chosen to make my card using the pretty Spring Corners stamp set and dies.

Colours used to make this card:

To recreate embossed Spring corners card, you will need:

Melon Mambo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Granny Apple Green card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼” x 2
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

Using the Spring Corners Dies, I die cut the detailed floral image in 2 corners, one at the top and one at the bottom of one of the 5” by 3¼” panels of Basic White card. I laid the die cut panel over the second panel of the same size, taping then together to stop them moving around.

www.crafty-rootes.com – The Spring Corners dies and stamp set used with Embossing paste and re-inkers to make a pretty thank you card – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Using Washi tape I covered all the leaves on the die cut image leaving the flowers and flower centres exposed.

I scooped a little Embossing Paste onto my Silicon Mat using one of my Palette Knives. I added a small drop of Melon Mambo re-inker to the paste and mixed it thoroughly with the palette knife. I carefully smeared the coloured embossing paste onto the flower petals taking care to avoid the flower centres. I set the piece aside to allow the Embossing Paste to dry.

When the pink paste had dried, I added another scoop of paste to the Silicon Mat and mixed in a little Lemon lolly re-inker. This was then carefully smeared over the flower centres before setting it aside to dry.

Once the flowers were completely dry – about 30mins later I peeled up the top layer. I flipped the panel around and re-positioned the clean negative die cut flower over the embossed flowers. I mixed a little Granny Apple Green re-inker to a little Embossing Paste and smeared it over the leaves and set this aside to dry before removing the top panel.

I stamped the floral image in the corner of the 5” by 3¼” piece of Basic White card using Pebbled Path ink. I coloured the image using light and dark Shy Shamrock Blends Pens for leaves and dark Peach Pie at the base of each petal followed by dark Pretty In Pink and finally light Pretty in Pink to finish the flowers.

The sentiment, from the Spring Corners stamp set was stamped in the upper right corner using Shy Shamrock ink. I added Pretty In Pink ink to the upper right hand corner with a Blending Brush. The whole piece was glued to the Shy Shamrock panel.

I added die cut decorative corners to the back of the whole piece. These were cut from scrap Petunia Pop card using the Spring Corners Dies. The whole panel was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

I don’t have any current trinkets so added a retired silver dragonfly from my stash using a Mini Glue Dot.

A scattering of 2024 – 2026 In Color Shimmer Gems finished the card.

Please hop on over to see what my fellow crafters have created to share with us today.
