Today, I am sharing the hanging ornament and trio of tags I designed for my December classes. I used the Stars At Night stamp set and dies to make the projects.
Gold Hoop – mine was about 4” 2 Circles of card stock or dsp which fit inside the gold hoop – I used the Shining Brightly dsp Scrap Basic White card Gold Ribbon
The ribbon was wrapped from the top to the bottom of the hoop, wrapped around and brought up to the top where it was wrapped around again and then tied in a double knot. The ends of the ribbon were then knotted to form a loop to hang the hoop.-
www.crafty-rootes.com – A hanging ornament made using the Stars At Night stamp set and Dies and the Shining Brightly dsp for December classes
We slipped one die cut circle – I used the Stylish Circle dies to cut these from the Shining Brightly stamp set – behind the hoop and under the ribbon. The second circle was glued on top, sandwiching the ribbon in the middle.
We used the Stamparatus – any stamp positioner would work – to stamp 3 large stars which I had die cut using the Stars at Night Dies.
The stamped stars were then folded in half from top to bottom. We used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score the stars down the centre line to make the folding easier.
The 3 stars were then glued together, one in the middle and one half of the other 2 glued on either side of the middle star. The back of the multiple star piece was then glued to the middle of the dsp inside the hoop.
Star at Night Tags
3 Starry Sky tags – cut using the Merriest Trees Dies 3 Basic White tags – cut using the Merriest Trees Dies Scrap Basic White and Gold Foil to die cut stars
Using a Blending Brush we added Starry Sky ink around the edges of 2 of the Starry Sky tags. The third tag was inked around the edges using another Blending Brush and Whisper White craft ink.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A trio of tags made using the Stars At Night stamp set and Dies and the Sending Cheer stamp set for December classes
When the first 2 tags were dry we added Whisper White ink to the centre of both tags.
When the tags were dry We stamped the rays of light image in the centre of 1 of the tags and a scattering of snowflakes around the edges of the other 2.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A trio of tags made using the Stars At Night stamp set and Dies and the Sending Cheer stamp set for December classes
From scrap Basic White and Gold Foil we die cut a selection of stars. The larger stars were glued to the inked tags and the smaller gold tags were added on top on Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.com – A trio of tags made using the Stars At Night stamp set and Dies and the Sending Cheer stamp set for December classes
The white tags were then stamped with ‘To and From’ from the Sending Cheer stamp set and adhered to the back of the Starry Sky tags, slightly offset.
We used Simply Elegant Trim to make the ties for the tags.
