A pretty watercoloured thank you card made for a friend using the Pretty Pop Ups Dies by Stampin' Up!

Pretty Pop Ups

Today I am sharing a pretty card made using the Pretty Pop-Ups Dies and coloured using a Blending Pen. I don’t actually own these dies but one of my lovely friends and customer Becky, bought them and allowed me to use the dies. This card is for her.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Pretty Pop-Ups card, you will need:

Pale Papaya card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 4⅞” by 3⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside – rounded upper left corner

I placed the small, oval Pretty Pop-Ups Die onto the smallest piece of Basic White card and added the two individual butterflies and the dragonfly dies. These were all run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

Using a Blender Pen, I coloured the leaves with Mink Macaron ink and the larger flower petals with Poppy Parade ink. The flower centres were added in So Saffron ink.

The tiny flower petals were coloured with Highland Heather ink and the centres added with So Saffron ink.

The two largest butterflies were coloured with Pool Party ink and the smaller with So Saffron ink. The dragonfly wings were coloured with Pale Papaya ink and Mint Macaron ink. All the insect bodies ere coloured with Gray Granite ink. The sentiment from the Charming Sentiments stamp set was stamped in Pool Party ink.

Using my Take Your Pick Tool, I pushed up all the pop-up pieces before using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to adhere the decorated panel to the slightly larger Basic White panel.  I wrapped a length of White Baker’s Twine around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape.

I stamped flower from the Simply Fabulous stamp set in Pale Papaya ink in the upper left and lower right corners of the Pale Papaya card front. The decorated panel was added over-top on Dimensionals.

A Baker’s Twine Bow and a trio of Fine Sparkle Gems were added to the card front. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the butterflies and dragonfly and finished with a bit of Wink of Stella splatter.

Love these soft colours together. Such a pretty card.
