Water-coloured Bauble for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Sounds of Christmas’ I have chosen the pretty song -Oh, Christmas Tree- and a Christmas tree is not properly dressed with out a bauble. I have water-coloured my bauble which I stamped using the Bright Baubles stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the water-coloured bauble, you will need:

Smoky Slate card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜” – rounded upper left corner
Smoky Slate card – 5” by 3¼” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – ⅜” strip

I stamped the pretty bauble in Basic Gray ink onto the Smoky Slate panel and added the string using a ruler and the Basic Gray Stampin’ Write Marker.

Watercolour pencils were used to colour in parts of the bauble. I used pencils from both sets – White, Daffodil Delight and Cherry Cobbler.

The stamped layer was added to the smaller panel of Basic White using Multicoloured Liquid Adhesive.

A length of Silver Mesh Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and tied in a bow on the front. The whole panel was then added to the Smoky Slate card front.

Poinsettia Bauble for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Tree Decorations’ – such a fun challenge. I have used the gorgeous Poinsettia Dies to make a hanging bauble for my tree.

Colours used in the Poinsettia Bauble are:

To recreate this project, you will need:

4” wooden circle
Real Red card – 8¼” by 3¼”
Garden Green card – 4½” by 2”
Scrap Gold Foil

Using a Big Bite hole puncher, I punched hole at the top of the 4” wooden circle. I used the Birch background stamp and Early Espresso ink and stamped it onto the circle and set it aside to dry. I mounted the stamp on a Stamparatus Plate as I find this easier to manage.

I used a Bone Folder to curve the petals, the largest one downwards and the other two layers upwards. I adhered the middle piece to the largest piece with a Dimensional and then added the smaller flower to the middle layer with a Mini Dimensional. I cut a flower centre from scrap Gold Foil and added it with Multicoloured Liquid Adhesive. I covered the petals with Clear Wink of Stella to give a bit of sparkle.
