A pretty Halloween themed card made using the Twisted in Time stamp set from Stampin' Up! used with an ink blending technique

Trick or Treat Card – Stamping Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are making ‘trick or treat’ cards using the Twisted in Time stamp set and the Thoughtful Journey dsp.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the trick or treat card, you will need:

Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Thoughtful Journey dsp – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 4⅛” by ½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

The twisted tree image was stamped in Secret Sea ink onto the panel of Thoughtful Journey dsp. I used a stamp positioner because I wanted to stamp the image multiple times to get a darker image, but you can just ink it very well and use an E block.

The leafy canopy was then added with Secret Sea ink. I used a Blender Pen to colour each leaf with Whisper White ink. All the leaves were coloured once; others were coloured multiple times to give added texture.

A little water was added to the Whisper White ink in the lid of the ink pad. The watery ink was then flicked onto the inked panel using a paint brush. The whole panel was then glued to the 5⅛” by 3⅜” piece of Basic White card. I mounted it to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Throughout the Year stamp set was stamped onto the strip of Basic White card with Night of Navy ink. I used washi tape to mask of the words and stamped each word in turn. I flagged the ends of the strip and added it to the card front.
