A sympathy card for the Inspire Create Challenge #051

Today I am sharing a card mae for the Inspire. Create #051 challenge the theme of which is ‘Sympathy’. I have chosen to make my card using the gorgeous new Snow Front stamp set and some sponging.

To recreate the Sympathy card you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Early Espresso – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2 – rounded upper left corner

I masked off an area of one Whisper White panel using PostIt Notes and sponged on Balmy Blue ink and Highland Heather ink using Sponge daubers. I love the soft effect sponging gives.

Having peeled off the Postit Notes I stamped the large tree from the Snow Front stamp set, half on and half off the sponged area using Early Espresso ink.

I added the birds from the Sailing Home stamp set in Early Espresso ink.

The stamped panel was mounted on the Early Espresso layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and then added to the Balmy Blue card front using the same glue.

The sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings was stamped in Early Espresso ink before being punched out with the Classic Label Punch. To give a bit of dimension I inked around the label with a sponge dauber and Hightland Heather ink.

The tree was stamped in Early Espresso on the remaining piece of Whisper White and glued inside the card. The same image was used to decorate the front of the envelope.

Pretty card, I hope you like it.
