Berry Burst Butterflies

Today I am sharing a sweet card featuring butterflies which I made as one of my samples for January’s classes featuring the Butterfly Gala stamp set.

Making the card

I started by stamping a double butterfly randomly all over the front of a Berry Burst card base in Berry Burst ink. I stamped it again in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto some scrap Whisper White cardstock and punched them out using the Butterfly Duet punch. I used my Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist Markers to colour the butterflies in.

I stamped the sentiment on scrap Whisper White cardstock using Berry Burst ink and die cut a circle using my Big Shot and the Layering Circle Dies. I also die cut a Basic Black scalloped circle and a Lemon Lime Twist circle. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to glue the stamped white layer to the Basic Black layer, then the Basic Black to the Lemon Lime Twist circle.

I added a strip of Tear n Tape to the card front and added a loop of Berry Burst silver Edged ribbon to the Tear n Tape before adding the circle topper on top of the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added the butterflies to the topper with Mini Glue Dots and added some Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.

  1. Love this card Mo. The colours are so vibrant! The style so simple – my sort of card! Not a fan of butterflies but like what you have done with this card – I shall certainly be ordering the butterfly punch and co-ordinating punch set.
