CASE a Sailboat for the CASE a Friend Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the CASE a Friend Blog Hop where, as the title says, we are CASing a project made by a friend. I have chosen to CASE a card made by my lovely friend Mikaela Titheridge

Colours used in my project are:

To recreate the CASE a Sailboat card, you will need:

Misty Moonlight card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pale Papaya card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Misty Moonlight card – 3½” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3½”
Scrap Basic White, Pale Papaya & Soft Suede

I embossed the smaller rectangle of Basic White card using the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder. I glued it to the Pale Papaya layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Using the same glue, I added the panel to the Misty Moonlight card base.

The Gentle Waves stamp set was inked up with Misty Moonlight on the bottom and Pool Party on the top before being stamped onto the square of Basic White card. I cut a circle from the stamped square using a Circle Die. I added it to a Misty Moonlight Scalloped Circle.

I crumpled a scrap strip of Pale Papaya card and tore it into 3 strips. This was added to the card front with glue and the circle added on top on Dimensionals.

Using the Sailboat Builder Punch, I punched the boat from scrap Soft Suede card and another from Basic White card. Using the largest stamp from the Eden’s Garden stamp set I stamped on one of the sails with Pale Papaya ink. The pieces of the boat were added to the circle with liquid glue.

The sentiment from the Expressions of Friendship stamp set was stamped on scrap Soft Suede card with Versamark ink, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with a Heat Tool. The sentiment was added to the card front.

I added a trio of Champagne Rhinestones and a Baker’s Twine Bow to complete the card.

I hope you like my version of Mikaela’s card.
