World Travel card for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we are sharing projects based around a picture and colour challenge.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the world travel card, you will need:

Real Red card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pecan Pie card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3¼” by ½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

The large Watercolor World background stamp was mounted onto one of the plates from my Stamparatus – other stamping platforms will work.

Using Stampin’ Write Markers I coloured in each continental block in a different colour using the marker to stamp technique.

The colours used were; Petal Pink, Real Red. Cajun Craze, Pecan Pie and Smoky Slate. Each colour was applied to the stamp two or three times to get a good depth of colour.

I used a Blending Brush to add Pool Party ink around the edges of the panel and between the continents. The whole panel was then adhered to the Pecan Pie layer.

The sentiment was stamped in Pecan Pie ink onto the thin strip of Basic White card and cut the end into a point. A strip of Petal Pink Ribbon – from the duo combo pack, was added along the bottom of the sentiment before it was added to the card front.

The panel was then added to the Coastal Cabana panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and then to the Smoky Slate card base using the same glue.

The suitcase from the Sweet Farewell stamp set was stamped to the right of the stamped circle in Basic Gray ink. I stamped the image again in the same ink on scrap Basic White card and cut it out with scissors.

I used the following Blends Markers to colour in the image – Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Smoky Slate. The coloured image was then added over the stamped image on the card.
