A Trio of Festive Cheer Cards – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing beginner to avid cards. Starting with a simple card that a beginner would enjoy putting together and using the same rough layout to create a stepped-up version for the casual crafter with a little more experience and ‘stuff’ to make. Finally, designing a card for the avid crafter with lots of layers and bits. I have made my cards using the Festive Cheer stamp set and dies with the Everyday Arches dies.

Colours used to make these cards are:

Beginner Card

Hydrangea Hue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored on the long-side at 4⅛”
Night of Navy – 4⅞ by 3⅛”
Basic White – 4¾” by 3”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

I stamped the outline bauble image onto the smaller panel of Basic White card using Night of Navy ink. The infill colour was added using Hydrangea Hue ink.

A trio of handmade Christmas cards for the beginner, casual and avid crafter made using Stampin’ Up! product and featuring the Festive Cheer stamp set and Festive Cheer Dies – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

The bauble topper was added with Daffodil Delight ink; the hanging cord was stamped in Night of Navy and the bow stamped with Hydrangea Hue ink.

I added a scattering of snowflakes with 2^nd generation Daffodil Delight ink. The sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy ink.

The stamped panel was glued to the Night of Navy panel and then to the Hydrangea Hue card front.

A trio of Sunset Sparkle Sequins finished the card.

Casual Card

Hydrangea Hue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored on the long-side at 4⅛”
Night of Navy – 4⅞” by 3⅛”
Basic White – 4¾” by 3”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White

I wanted to add a bit of interest to the card base so stamped the ‘falala’ sentiment in Hydrangea Hue ink on either side of the card base.

Using a Blending Brush I added Daffodil Delight ink to the smaller panel of Basic White card. I stamped the hanging cord, twice with Night of Navy ink onto the inked area.

I stamped the outline bauble images onto the scrap Basic White card using Night of Navy ink. The infill colour was added with either Hydrangea Hue or Daffodil Delight ink.

I stamped a bauble topper with Daffodil Delight ink and Night of Navy ink. The baubles and toppers were then die cut using the Festive Cheer dies. I glued the toppers to the baubles and mounted them onto the card with Dimensionals, both standard and mini.

I added a scattering of snowflakes with 2^nd generation Daffodil Delight ink. The sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy ink.

The stamped panel was glued to the Night of Navy panel and then to the Hydrangea Hue card front.

A trio of Sunset Sparkle Sequins finished the card.

Avid Card

Hydrangea Hue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored on the long-side at 4⅛”
Night of Navy – 5¼” by 3¾”
Basic White – 5” by 3½”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White, Daffodil Delight, Hydrangea Hue & Night of Navy

I stamped the ‘falala’ sentiment in Hydrangea Hue ink across the top of the card base.

From the smaller panel of Basic White and the panel of Night of Navy I die cut two nesting arches using the Everyday Arches dies. Using a Blending Brush I added Daffodil Delight ink to the Basic White die cut arch and stamped the sentiment with Night of Navy ink.

On scrap Basic White card, I stamped the outline of a selection of baubles using Night of Navy ink. The infill colour was added to the baubles using either Hydrangea Hue or Daffodil Delight ink. The baubles were then die cut out. The bauble toppers were die cut from scrap Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy. Using the same scrap card, I die cut a Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy bow.

I adhered a scrap of Adhesive Sheet to a scrap piece of Night of Navy card and die cut the hanging cords. I also die cut a pine bough from scrap Hydrangea Hue card.

The pine bough was adhered to the Basic White arch and the hanging cords added with the tops tucked under the bow and the ends trimmed down.

I glued the toppers to the baubles and mounted them onto the card with either Liquid Glue or Dimensionals, both standard and mini. I added a scattering of snowflakes with 2^nd generation Daffodil Delight ink. The bows were then added to a couple of the baubles.

The stamped arch was then glued to the Night of Navy arch and then to the Hydrangea Hue card front. A trio of Sunset Sparkle Sequins finished the card.

Holly Jolly Branches Class in the Mail

The cards I am sharing were design as a class in the mail using the Holly Jolly Branches dies and the Magical Christmas Hot Foil Dies. I provided all the bases, layers, die cut trees and a selection of hot foiled Christmas sentiments.

Colours used to make these cards are:

Trio of Trees card

Gray Granite card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored on the long-side at 4⅛”
Gray Granite – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – embossed with Softly Woven 3D
Pool Party – 4⅞” by 3” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 4¾” by 2⅞” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath, Crisp Cantaloupe, Gray Granite & Silver Foil

Adhere the embossed Gray Granite panel to the Gray Granite card front. Cover the whole panel with glue making sure to get right to the edges otherwise it will ruck up, not a great look…..

Glue the embossed Basic White panel to the Gray Granite layer then glue the whole piece to the Bubble Bath card front.

Add the five trees onto the card front, some on Dimensionals and the others flat with glue.

Simply Penguins Christmas Card – Christmas Stampathon

I made these cards for the Christmas Stampathon where this month’s theme is ‘creatures’. I have used the adorable penguin from the Wild Bunch stamp set along with the Lights of Aurora designer series paper.

Colours used in these cards are:

I created the simply penguins Christmas cards using the following supplies:

Blueberry Bushel & Pretty Peacock card bases (2 of each) – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 4
Lights of Aurora dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White

I chose 2 different colour ways of the Lights of Aurora dsp (retired) in Lost Lagoon and Balmy Blue. Using Blending Brushes I added ink around both panels leaving a lighter area on the right side of each panel. I used Blueberry Bushel on the Balmy Blue piece and Pretty Peacock on the Lost Lagoon piece. The inked pieces were then mounted onto the smaller panels of Basic White card.

I added splashes and spots of Wink of Stella by bashing it on a Bone Folder before setting it aside to dry.

A length of White Ribbon was then wrapped around each layer, secured on the back with Sellotape before the panel was glued to the card bases. The Balmy Blue panel was glued to the Blueberry Bushel card bases and the Lost Lagoon pieces to the Pretty Peacock bases.

From scrap Basic White card, I die cut 4 circles. A penguin from the retired Wild Bunch stamp set, was stamped on each circle with Secret Sea ink. The penguins were then coloured using the dark Darling Duckling and light Secret Sea Blends Pens. A swipe of Wink of Stella was added under each bird.

I mounted the stamped circles to the card fronts using Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Dreamy Snowflakes stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic White with Secret Sea ink. I trimmed the sentiments down and flagged each end before adding one to each card.

Christmas Deer Card – Christmas Stampathon

I made these pretty Christmas cards for the metallic themed Christmas Stampathon using lots of retired products including the Most Wonderful Time dsp and the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set.

I created the Christmas Deer card using the following supplies:

Smoky Slate and Old Olive card bases – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side – 2 of each
Smoky Slate and Old Olive Mats – 5⅜” by 3⅛” – 2 of each
Most Wonderful Time dsp – 5¼” by 3” x 4
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside x 4
Scrap Smoky Slate, Old Olive & Gold Foil

I adhered the panels of Most Wonderful Time dsp to the Smoky Slate and Old Olive Mats and wrapped a length of Old Olive Twine (retired) around each panel before gluing the panels to the card bases. I then glued the panels to the card fronts.

From scrap Smoky Slate and Old Olive card I punch four circles using the 2 ¼” Circle Punch, two of each colour.

The sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamps et was stamped at the bottom of each punched circle in Secret Sea ink. These circles were then added to Gold Foil circles punced from scrap card using the 2½” Circle Punch.

I chose 4 deer from the Most Wonderful Time sticker sheets and adhered one to each of the circles before adding the circles to the card fronts on Dimensionals.

The sweet bauble themed Christmas card I am sharing today is made using the Festive Cheer stamp set and the Artisan Sketched Garden dsp.

I created the bauble card using the following supplies:

Golden Glow card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Basic Black – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Artisan Sketched Garden dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Golden Glow – 3¾” by 2½”
Basic White – 3¾” by 2⅜”
Basic White – 2” by 1¼”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

I adhered the panel of Artisan Sketched Garden dsp to the panel of Basic Black card and then glued this to the Golden Glow card front.

The baubles were stamped onto the 3¾” by 2⅜” strip of Basic White card using Black ink. I added the bauble hangers and strings to each bauble using the same ink.

I used the Light & Dark Golden Glow Blends Pen I coloured in a small part of each bauble and added a little shimmer with the Golden Glow Shimmer Pen.

I die cut a banner from the Stylish Shapes dies from the smallest piece of Basic White card and stamped the sentiment in Golden Glow ink. I cut it down and added it with Liquid Adhesive to the card front. The stamped panel was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Multiple Christmas cards made for the Christmas Stampathon using the Festive Cheer stamp set and co-ordinating dies from Stampin' Up!

Festive Bauble Card – Christmas Stampathon

Today I am showcasing the cards made for the July Christmas Stampathon where our theme is ‘Take One’. We are to use one bundle only to make our projects. I have used the Festive Cheer stamp set and dies.

I created the festive bauble card using the following supplies:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Basic Black – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Peaceful Prints dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White – 3½” by 2¼”
Basic Black – 3½” by ⅜” x 2
Scrap Basic White and Basic Black card

I adhered the panel of Peaceful Prints dsp, sadly retired to the panel of Basic Black card and this was then glued to the Thick Basic White card front.

I stamped the outline of the four baubles onto the 3½” by 2¼” piece of Basic White card using Black ink.

The bauble hangers and the hanging strings were then stamped with black ink. I stamped an extra bauble on scrap Basic White card and die cut it using the Festive Cheer Dies. I also die cut a bauble hanger from scrap Basic Black card.

A little colour was added to each bauble using the Real Red and Cherry Cobbler Blends Pens. I glued the die cut bauble hanger to the die cut bauble and added it to the panel on Dimensionals.

I die cut a couple of banners from scrap Basic White card using the Stylish Shapes Dies. The sentiment was stamped in Black ink, one at either end of the banner. The banner was then cut apart and the stamped end was glued to the card front. The stamped panel was then glued to the card front.

Cards made for the Christmas Stampathon sketch challenge using the Snowy Scenes designer series paper used and the Trees for Sale stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Snowy Scenes Cards – Christmas Stampathon

For the May Christmas Stampathon we have a sketch to inspire us. I have the retired Snowy Scenes designer series paper to make my cards.

I created the snowy scenes cards using the following supplies:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Basic White – 5½”by 3¾”
Pool Party – 4 by 2½”
Basic White – 4” by ⅝”
Scrap Snowy Scenes dsp

I embossed the Basic White panel using the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder. I wrapped a length of Pool Party Twine around the panel, adhering it on the back with Sellotape before gluing the whole piece to the Thick Basic White card front.

The smaller panel of Pool Party was embossed using the same embossing folder before being mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

I used a stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes dies to cut out a selection of circles featuring Christmas scenes from the Snowy Scenes dsp and added these to the card front the central image on Dimensionals.

Tree themed Christmas cards made using the Ornamental Christmas dies and Velvet Meadow designer series paper (dsp) from Stampin' Up!

Velvet Trees Card – Christmas Stampathon

Here are the cards I have made for the Christmas Stampathon where our theme is trees, trees, trees. I have made my cards using the Ornamental Christmas Dies and the Velvet Meadow designer series paper.

I created the Velvet Tree card using the following supplies:

Card bases – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side – I chose 2 Fresh Freesia and 2 Lost Lagoon
Pretty Peacock – 5⅛” by 3⅜” x 4
Basic White -5” by 3¼” x 4
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” x 4 for the inside
Velvet Meadow dsp

Using a Blending Brush I added Fresh Freesia ink to the centre of the 5” by 3¼” panels of Basic White card.

I used a Blending Brush to add Lost Lagoon ink to the edges of the die cut trees to give a little definition. The trees were then mounted onto the inked panel on Dimensionals.

Row of Trees cards – Christmas Stampathon

Here are the cards made for this month’s Christmas Stampathon where our theme is black & white with a colour. I couldn’t decide which colour to use with the black and white so have used four of my favourites with the Ornamental Christmas stamp set to make my cards.

Colours used to make these cards are:

I created the fragrant blossoms card using the following supplies:

4 card bases – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side – chose Petunia Pop, Poppy Parade, Azure Afternoon and Granny Apple Green
Basic Black – 5⅜” by 3½” x 4
Basic White – 5¼” by 3⅜” x 4
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” x 4
Strip of Petunia Pop, Poppy Parade, Azure Afternoon and Granny Apple Green – 4” by ⅜”

Using the new Stamp Positioner, available from the 5^th May in my online store to stamp the trees 4 times across the 5¼” by 3⅜” piece of Basic White card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, leaving a gap in the centre.

The coloured tree was then stamped in the centre gap, a different colour on each panel.

The decorated layer was then adhered to the panel of Basic Black card before it was added to the coloured card base on Black Dimensionals

I stamped the sentiment, from the same stamp set on the strips of coloured card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I flagged the ends and glued the strips to the card fronts.

A trio of embellishments, mostly from my stash were added to the card fronts to finish the cards.

Christmas Star card – Christmas Stampathon

Today I am sharing the cards made for this month’s Christmas Stampathon where our theme is ’texture’. I have made my cards using the Ornamental Christmas stamp set and dies and the Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder.

Colours used to make these cards are:

Basic White

Real Red

Basic Black

I created the Christmas Star card using the following supplies:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Real Red – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3¾”
Red Foil – 3½” by 3”
Basic Black – 1¾” by ¼”
Scrap Basic White

I ran the 5⅜” by 3¾” panel of Basic White card through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder. A length of Open Weave Trim was wrapped around and secured on the back with Sellotape.

The whole piece was then adhered to the Real Red layer and then to the Thick Basic White card front.

I cut a Red Foil star using the Ornamental Christmas Dies.

Using the same die I cut 2 more stars from scrap Basic White card. I glued these together and added the Red Foil star on top. The whole piece was mounted onto the card front using Mini Glue Dots.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Basic Black card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it with my Heat Tool before adding it to the card front.

A trio of Iridescent Foil Gems finished the card.
