www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A sweet butterfly themed tri-fold shutter card made for a friend’s special birthday and for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop
Taking the Gorgeous Grape panel and my Paper Trimmer I cut on the short side from 1¾” to 8¾” on both sides. The cuts should be parallel and matched up.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A sweet butterfly themed tri-fold shutter card made for a friend’s special birthday and for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop
Next I scored on the long side at 1¾” from both ends but only between the two cut lines and then from 3½” and 7” from top to bottom.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A sweet butterfly themed tri-fold shutter card made for a friend’s special birthday and for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop
I took my time to choosing patterns from the gorgeous Pansy Petals dsp. My friend loves purple so these were the colours I went for first. I added in the Soft Succulent gingham to break up the purple. The dsp was adhered to the Basic White panels which were then glued to the Gorgeous Grape card.
I carefully folded and burnished the score lines of the card to form the tri-fold shutter shape.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A sweet butterfly themed tri-fold shutter card made for a friend’s special birthday and for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop
Using my Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Brilliant Butterfly Dies I die cut some of the butterflies from the scrap Gorgeous Grape card, Highland Heather card and Be Dazzling dsp. I also used some of the iridescent paper left over from the Wonderful Snowflakes to die cut a couple of butterflies.
