Honey Bee

This pretty card was made using the Honey Bee stamp set, Detailed Bee dies and Golden Honey dsp all available in the new Jan – June 2020 mini catalogue from the 3rd January.

To recreate the Honey Bee card you will need:

Crushed Curry card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic Black 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper left corner
Golden Honey dsp – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner for the inside
Scrap Whisper White, Crushed Curry and Basic Black

I adhered the Golden Honey dsp to the basic Black layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The panel was then glued to the Crushed Curry card base using the same adhesive.

The honey comb piece from the detailed Bee dies was used to die cut pieces from the scrap, Crushed Curry, Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock. I added the Crushed Curry piece to the card front and added some of the black and white hexagonal pieces with liquid glue.

I stamped 3 small bees onto the scrap Whisper White with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The bees were die cut using the Detailed Bee dies.

The yellow stripes on the bees were coloured in using the dark Daffodil Delight Blends Marker. They were added to the card front on either Dimensionals or by using liquid glue.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto a scrap of Basic Black cardstock, covered with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set using a Heat Tool. The sentiment was trimmed down with scissors and glued to the card front.
