Ink Pad Boxes for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop where we are sharing 3 D projects. I am sharing the box I created to hold a Stampin’ Up! Ink pad. For every sixth class my customers attend they get to choose an ink pad of their choice and I decorate this box to match their colour choice.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the ink pad holder, you will need:

Basic White card – 11¼” by 5¼” – scored on the long-side at ¾”, 5 ¼”, 6” and 10½” and on the short-side at ¾” by 4½”
Designer Series Paper – 4¼” by 3½”
Soft Suede card – 2½” by 2½”
Basic White card – 2½” by 2½”
Scrap Basic White

I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score the Basic White card as detailed above.

Using sharp scissors, I cut free the 3 tabs on either side, notching in the sides. I also cut a wedge from each side of the box top as shown in the picture. A ½” Circle Punch was used to provide a notch at the front of the box to make it easier to open.

This customer chose a Pumpkin Pie ink pad so I cut a piece of Regals Designer Series Paper at 4¼” by 3½”. I like to match the colour dsp to the ink pad chosen and often use retired dsp to decorate.

I stamped the sentiment from the from the Flowers of Friendship stamp set in Pumpkin Pie ink and die cut it out using one of the Layering Circle Dies. A scalloped circle was then die cut using the same set of dies and added it to the back of the sentiment.

The letters from the Alphabest stamp set were stamped in Soft Suede ink and punched out using the co-ordinating Best Label Punch. They were added to the back of the stamped circle using Seal +. The circle was then added to the box top on Dimensionals.

I stamped the 2 larger flowers from the Flowers of Friendship stamp set in Pumpkin Pie ink onto scrap Basic White card. They were punched out using the Flowers & Leaves Punch. I shaped them using a Bone Folder, coloured them in with Pumpkin Pie Blends and added them to the front of the box.
