Lady in a Window card

Today I am sharing a pretty ‘lady in a window’ card made, for a friend who is struggling with ill health using the In The Moment stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the lady in the window card, you will need:

Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Masterfully Made dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 4” by 3”
Night of Navy card – 2” by ¼”
Scrap Masterfully Made dsp

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the panel of dsp to one of the larger layers of Basic White card. A length of White Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the panel before it was glued to the Night of Navy card front.

The image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White card.

I stamped the same image, in the same ink onto scraps of Masterfully Made dsp and fussy cut out the trousers, top and both cushions from various patterns of paper. These pieces were then glued onto the image in the appropriate places.

Blends pens were then used to colour in the rest of the image – Ivory for the skin, Copper Clay for the hair, Fresh Freesia for the mug and Bronze for the window frame. The coloured panel was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Night of Navy card, covered with White Embossing Powder and heat set with my Heat Tool. I added it to the card front with liquid glue.

A trio of Basic Rhinestones were coloured with a Night of Navy Blends Pen before being added to the card front. A Baker’s Twine bow completed the card.
