A Little Wild with Tulle

Today I am sharing a couple of adorable cards I made using the new, A Little Wild stamp set and co-ordinating Little Loves framelits.

I stamped the sweet little bear, 2 Bee skeps, bees and flower using Momento Tuxedo Black ink onto Shimmery White cardstock as I planned on watercoloring the images. I used my Aquapainter and a Crumb Cake inkpad to add color to the front and the back of the bear, die cut the image using the co-ordinationg Little Loves framelit dies and the Big Shot before carefully cutting the front from the back with Scissors apart. The bee skep was coloured with Crumb Cake ink and Pear Pizzazz ink and the flower with Pear Pizzazz ink and Calypso Coral ink.

I chose a Thick Very Vanilla card base and added a layer of Pear Pizzazz on top and die cut a square ‘window’ with the Stitched Shapes framelits dies through both layers. I ran some Tear & Tape double sided adhesive around the Very Vanilla ‘window’ frame on the front of the card and laid a slightly bigger square of Tulle over the top, making sure to adhere it well. I then added the Pear Pizzazz panel over the top with Tombow Liquid Adhesive.

The front of the bear was added to the front of the card, overlapping the Tulle window using Tombow and the back of the bear was stuck on the inside of the card looking out of the window. The front and back of the bee skep was added in the same way and the bees scattered across the front and backed with matching bees where they would show on the back.

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock using Momento Tuxedo Black ink and this was then punched using the Classic Label Punch and cut it down before adding it to the bottom of the front panel and placing the flower on top.

I went on to make a Tulle window, shaker card inspired by the amazing Jennifer McGuire – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-XHz-FtFcI
