Monochromatic Vintage Tools

I’ve gone monochromatic with my card today using the new Vintage Tools stamp stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the vintage tools card, you will need:

Gray Granite card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅛” by 3⅜” x 2 – one for the inside
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼” x 2 – one for the inside
Scrap Basic Black

I chose 3 of the tool images from the Vintage Tools stamp set and randomly stamped them over one of the Basic White panels. I used Gray Granite ink for the clamp, Basic Gray ink for the pliers and Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the screwdriver.

To fill in any gaps I stamped one of the tacks using the memento Tuxedo Black ink.

To add to the vintage look I used a Blending Brush to apply Gray Granite ink around the edge of the stamped panel. This gave it a lovely, grungy look.

A length of the Black Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the panel three times and secured on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then glued to the Basic Black panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The sentiment from the Sweet Songbirds stap set was stamped in Versamark ink onto scrap Basic Black card, covered with White Embossing Powder and set using my Heat Tool. I then die it using the beautiful Shapes Dies and added it to the card front using Black Dimensionals.

A Trio of Matte Black Dots finished the card.

I hope you like it.
