Pastel Balloons card for the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we are sharing projects based around 5 suggested options, we could choose to use some or all of the suggestions; these are Subtles colour family, Masking, Standard Horizontal, Ribbon, For You sentiment. I have made my card using the Beautiful Balloons stamp set and all 5 options.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the pastel balloons card you, will need:

Lost Lagoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic Black card – 1” by ½”

I stamped the medium sized balloon onto a stack of Post It Notes and trimmed them out using Paper Snips, these would act as my masks.

The first balloon was stamped in the centre of the smaller panel in Lost Lagoon ink, I covered it with one of the masks and stamped the next balloon on the right in Petal Pink ink. This balloon was masked off and the next balloon stamped in Lemon Lolly ink. I repeated the masking and stamped the last balloon on the right-hand side in Balmy Blue ink.

The same masking and stamping were repeated in Fresh Freesia, Pool Party and Bubble Bath. Finally, I added an extra one using Highland Heather ink. The balloon strings were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The stamped panel was then added to the Basic Black layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

A small piece of Black & White Gingham Ribbon was wrapped around the lower right corner and secured on the back with Sellotape.

The sentiment from the Color & Contour stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink, covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it with my Heat Tool. I added the sentiment over the ribbon with a Mini Glue Dot on each side.
