Picturesque Valentine card for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing some of our favourite products from the January – April Catalogue. I am sharing the Valentine’s Day card I made for my husband using the Picturesque stamp set.

Colours use in this project are:

To recreate the picturesque Valentine card, you will need:

Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 3¼” by 3¼” x 2
Soft Succulent card – 3⅛” by 3⅛”
Basic White card – 2¼” by 1”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

Using the Stylish Shapes Dies, I die cut a square from one of the 3¼” by 3¼” pieces of Basic White card.

I inked up the larger tree image using Night of Navy ink and stamped it along the bottom of the stitched square. I added the smaller tree image in Soft Succulent ink.

A masked ‘moon’ was added to the sky area and the larger sky image stamped twice in Pool Party ink. The mask was then removed. The horizon line was then stamped in Soft Succulent ink.

The stamped panel was then glued to the Soft Succulent layer and then to the Basic White square. The whole piece was then mounted onto the Night of Navy card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Love for You stamp set, was stamped in Night of Navy ink along the bottom edge of the 2¼” by 1” strip of Basic White card. This was tucked under the mounted panel.
