Purple Butterfly card

Here is a sweet brilliant purple butterfly card made using the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and Brilliant Wings dies and some emboss resist ink blending.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate this card, you will need:

Pool Party card Base – 8¼” by 5⅞”
Basic White – 5⅞” by 2⅜”
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – for the inside
Highland Heather – 5⅞” by ½” x 2
Scrap Basic White

Using the Brilliant Wings dies I cut a number of detailed butterflies from Basic White card stock.

These were randomly adhered with repositionable glue to the strip of Basic White card. I scribbled Purple Posy ink onto a D Block and used a Blending Brush to pick up the ink and blend the ink onto the panel over the butterflies. The butterflies were then removed. I love the soft effect this gives.

I die cut the scalloped border from the Be Mine Dies, cut from the 2 strips of Highland Heather card. These were then adhered to the inked panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I used some of the Snail Mail Twine to wrap around the panel and tied a bow. The panel was added to the Pool Party card base using Dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink onto the Pool Party card base.
