Sitting Pretty for a simple Sympathy card

Today I have used the Sitting Pretty stamp set to make a sympathy card. These are always a bit of a challenge to make and I am very happy with how this one turned out.

Making the Sitting Pretty Card

I started by stamping the gorgeous filigree bench in Versamark ink onto a panel of Whisper White cardstock 4⅜” by 3¼” and yes I did remember to use my Embossing Buddy! I covered the stamped image in Black Embossing Powder (so glad this is back in the catalogue) and melted it using my Heat Tool.

Taking a piece of Sponge and some Balmy Blue ink I sponged the ink onto the panel slowly building up the colour. I stamped the outline of the pot plant in Momento Tuxedo Black ink, adding the foliage in Granny Apple Green ink and coloured the pot with the Balmy Blue ink.

The stamped panel was added to a Granny Apple Green layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. This was then added to a Whisper White panel. I did round the upper left hand corner of all layers using the Detailed Trio Punch.

I rounded the same corner of a Balmy Blue card base and stamped the foliage again in Balmy Blue ink in the upper left and lower right corner before adding the stamped layer on Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set was stamped in Granny Apple Green ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punched out using the Classic Label Punch. I trimmed off the end and added it to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I love this card, especially the gorgeous glossy bench. I hope you like it.
