A lovely floral card made for the Craft Colour challenge blog hop using the Lovely You stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Lovely You card for the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we have a colour challenge to work with. I have used the Lovely You stamp set to make my card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the lovely you card, you will need:

Granny Apple Green card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded lower left corner
Melon Mambo card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded lower left corner
Basic White card – 5 ¾” by 3½” – rounded lower left corner
Basic White card – 2½” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded lower left corner – for the inside

I die cut a stitched circle from the smallest piece of Basic White card using the Stylish Shapes Dies. I placed the die cut circle onto the smaller piece of Basic White card and roughly drew a circle around it.

Hello and welcome to the Colour Combo Blog Hop where we are sharing projects made using the following colour combination:

I am using the very versatile Bottled Happiness stamp set to make my card today.

To recreate the bottles card, you will need:

Soft Succulent card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Vellum – 5¼” by 3½”
Starry Sky card – 2¼” by 2¼”
Basic White card – 2” by 2”

I stamped the bottle all over one of the 5½” by 3¾” panels of Basic White card in Soft Succulent, Pacific Point and Starry Sky inks. The images were stamped either vertically or horizontally. The stamped panel was adhered to the larger Basic White panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

A pretty floral card made using the pretty Vintage Christams stamp set for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Vintage Bottle card for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we have been given a colour challenge. I have chosen to use one of the sets I pre-ordered from the July – December Mini Catalogue called Vintage Christmas. I do love a set that co-ordinates with something I already have and this set pairs with the Vintage Bottle Punch.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Vintage Bottle card, you will need:

Melon Mambo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Starry Sky card – 3¾” by 2⅜”
Basic White card – 4” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 1½” by 1½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

I began by stamping the taller bottle with Starry Sky ink onto scrap Basic White card and punching it out using the Vintage Bottle Punch.

A pretty floral card made using the pretty Vintage Christams stamp set for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Vintage Christmas stamp set used to make a pretty floral card for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Using Tahitian Tide ink, I stamped the smaller bottle onto the 4” by 2¾” panel of Basic White card. I placed the punched bottle overlapping the stamped bottle, for placement and stamped the trio of flowers in Melon Mambo ink.

A pretty floral card made using the pretty Vintage Christams stamp set for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Vintage Christmas stamp set used to make a pretty floral card for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Using Parakeet Party ink, I stamped the single sprig around the flowers. I deliberately didn’t ink up the berries at the base of the sprig. The flower centres were added using the same ink. The tall bottle was then glued to the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole panel was then die cut using a Stitched Rectangle Die. The stitched rectangle was then glued to the Starry Sky panel.

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Vintage Christmas stamp set used to make a pretty floral card for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Using the trio of flowers, I stamped in the upper left and lower right corners of the Melon Mambo card base using Melon Mambo ink. At this point I decided I needed more white in the background so I cut the 1½” square of Basic White card on the diagonal and added one triangle to the upper left corner and the other to the lower right corner of the stamped panel.

The stamped piece was then added to the card front on Dimensionals. The sentiment, from the Cup of Tea stamp set was inked up in Starry Sky ink and stamped onto scrap Basic White card. I then trimmed it out, flagging the ends before I added it to the card front.

Well Dressed stamp set used for the Inspire create colour challenge #065

Well Dressed for the Inspire. Create challenge #065

Here is a masculine card made for the Inspire. Create challenge #035 using the Well Dressed stamp set. This time it is a colour challenge – Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and a colour of your choice, I chose Balmy Blue.

To recreate the Well Dressed card you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Night of Navy – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Whisper White – 5¼” by 3½”
Night of Navy – 3½” by 1¾”
Whisper White – 3½” by 1½”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” for the inside
Scrap Whisper White

I placed the panel of Whisper White – 5¼” by 3½” onto the Stamparatus, lined up the patterned stamp and picked it up with the door. I inked the stamp with Balmy Blue ink, moved the door plate over one slot, inked it up and stamped again repeating this across the panel.

The collar and tie were stamped in Night of Navy ink onto the smallest piece of Whisper White card stock. The collar was coloured in using the light Balmy Blue Blends Marker. This panel was then added to the smaller Night of Navy piece using the same liquid glue. The same glue was used to glue the whole panel to the Crumb Cake card base.

Above the Clouds Hot Air Balloon card for a Stamp'N Hop blog hop colour challenge

Above the Clouds for the Stamp ‘N Hop colour challenge

No photo description available.

Welcome to the August Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop where this month we have a colour challenge. The colours we have been given are Granny Apple Green, Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick and Silver, all great colours. If you have hopped over from the lovely Libby I am sure you have been inspired by her project.

To recreate the Above the Clouds card you will need;

Granny Apple Green card base 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Silver Foil 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner
Scrap Whisper White cardstock

I choose to use the Above the Clouds stamp set for this card and stamped 3 balloons in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the solid fill in balloon image over the top – one in Lovely Lipstick ink , one in Blueberry Bushel ink and the last in Granny Apple Green ink. I stamped the top of the balloons inall three colours on the scrap Whisper White.

The balloons and the tops of the ballons were then punched out using the co-ordinating Hot Air Balloon Punch. I then cut away the top part of the partial balloons, mixed up the colours glued the pieces together with Dimensionals.

I punched 3 ‘baskets’ from the Silver Foil layer taking care to stay away from the edge. The baskets were attached to the bottom of each balloon using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The clouds were inked up with Blueberry Bushel ink, stamped off x 2 onto the Grip Paper then stamped randomly onto one of the Whisper White panels.

The balloons were added on to to the cloud stamped layer with the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole topper was the glued to the Silver Foil piece.

After rubbing a piece of scrap Blueberry Bushel cardstock with my embossing buddy I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, covered the ink with Silver Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. I flagged the end with scissors and added it to the card front.

The clouds were stamped again on the remaining Whisper White panel and added to the inside of the card and the front of the envelope.

I am really happy with the card, I hope you also like it.

Please hop on the see what the talented Rebecca-Jo has to share with us this month.
